OK I think Hillary is a given, but who else goes for the Democratic nomination? Will media darling Obama run after only a few years in the senate? Does Howard Dean try again?

On the Republican side - I don't think Cheney will run. Will Jeb run or will the country be sick of Bushes? Who is considered the rising star of the GOP?

Also, if Hillary gets the nomination, will it matter who she runs against in the GOP?

If Hillary runs I will take two months off of work to campaign against her.

I'd love to see McCain vs Feingold in '08... that'd be a cool matchup.

For the matchup, or to see how they break their own campaign finance rules?

Reps will be Giuliani or McCain. Not sure about the dems.

Won't be either of these.

As in the other threads about this topic, I say look to the Governor mansions.

Alec, of course.

Stephen has his eyes on the Republican nomination in 2016.

I still think we'll see a Condi Rice vs. Hillary Clinton. The one good outcome is that you'll not only see your first female President, you'll also see your first African American President.

Clearly this is true. It amazes me that most people don't see this as obvious. Even I violated this just a few minutes ago, trumpeting the virtues of Evan Bayh.

Giuliani and Jeb Bush won't seek the nomination. Mitt Romney perhaps?

I'd like to see McCain vs. Biden, so I could be content either way...but neither will run.

I think Kerry runs again, especially if the coming 4 years are anything like the last 4. I don't think the internal polling will lead Hillary into the race, but I could be proven wrong.

On the republican side, a Bush has been on every republican ticket save one for the past 24 years, so my money's on the governor from FL. Lord knows he'll be pressured to run. Imagine FL and the rest of the south as a lock.

Actually, he will, and already has been, pressured to not run.
