Hillary will throw her name into the ring if only to have a say in what is on the Dem's 2008 platform.

Well, as far as Hillary....

Going with this wacky Southern complex scenario, Hillary might have had a shot as someone from Arkansas. Now she is a New Yorker. That's an automatic NO vote from our friends down below.

His reputation as a moderate only increases his "electability". It's up to his party to recognize that and nominate him, or another like him, if they want the White House back, IMHO.

I have never heard any democrat who would want Hilary as a president.

It was completely intentional.

It's his moderate voting record that will keep him from getting the nomination.

Evan Bayh is a very smart fellow.

With very little coaching, he could learn to speak with a southern accent.

That would make him doubly unbeatable.

how does one pronounce "Bayh?"

I think "President Bay" looks a lot better than "President Bayh."

He should drop the -h from his last name, too.

Hey, if it was between Hillary and a Republican, I would vote for Hillary. She's unelectable though.

Non-moderate democrats haven't done so well in presidential elections over the last few decades.

I do believe that Condi Rice is definitely someone that the GOP should look long and hard at for VP on their next ticket.

And moderates from either party haven't had much luck getting nominated just lately.
