Yeah, I see a lot of Kerry signs, but I also see just as many houses which don't have any. Makes me wonder if Oregon might sway to Republican this year? It would be the first time since Reagan, I think.

All the Oregonians must be away from their computers today. I'm guessing they are all driving back down to their previous residences in CA to cast their vote.

No chance whatsoever. Kerry wins it in a walk. I'm a very conservative town yet I've seen more Kerry signs than Bush signs throughout the campaign.

Nope, not this year.

I'm more interested Wu vs Ameri. I think it would be a unique perspective to have an Iranian-born person in Congress.

I haven't seen any polls, but I'm assuming that the prediction is that 36 will pass easily?

Being a border WA person, I associate myself with Oregon a fair amount. It will go Kerry. And again, 95% of the square area will vote for Bush.

I lived in Portland for a year (back in 87-88) and I felt it was the most liberal leaning city I ever encountered. More so than even San Fran.
Of course I was a liberal Democrat then so I loved all the pot and free love.

I'm sure that's how many of the country's major land-owners will vote, except for Ted Turner, of ouurse.

I don't think so, but I forget that Portland is quite a bit more liberal than the rest of Oregon. But then again Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, have about as many, if not more people than the rest of the state combined.

Kerry all the way. I will even be surprised to see Goli Ameri win. She plays dirty pool.

36 is expected to be close surprisingly.

Sorry.

a state constitutional amendment that would define marriage between a man and a woman only.

I understood what you were saying. I thought of something I hear all of the time in Mass. Then I attempted a horrible play on words. I apologize and will never do that again.

I am very soggy as it has rained its ass off all day. I encourage you to attempt every play on words that fancies you.

One of the reasons why I moved, I would always get wet when I went downtown to buy my pot.

36 is down 50k right now with 6% counted. As is typical with Oregon, most of the early votes are from Multnomah county, so that is probably not unexpected.

They really should have divided Washington and Oregon north-south instead of east west.
