"Batman can Vote?" OR "I'm an Idiot!"

So, I'm listening to the radio on the commute in this morning, and they're giving out last minute reminders and tips for voters. One of the tips was "Remember to bring a photo ID...and if you don't have ID, bring your utility belt."

WHAAA? Did I here that right? Were they joking? So I kept listening and they said it again: "Bring your utility belt!"

So I kept listening, and a third person repeated the advice. She spoke a little clearer than the other two and I finally released what they were saying:

Spoiler:
If you don't have ID, bring your utility bill (to prove residency).

I'm an idiot.

Poll worker: "Name?"

Groucho: "I'm Batman."

I'm Commissioner Gordon and I approve this message.

I can tell that the utility belt will get you into the voting booth, but there's nothing you can do about the names on the ballot. I know, I tried.

the thread title reminds me of a Weekend Updat bit where Jimmy Fallon is talking about how he beat out Nokia in developing the first video game system/phone. he then pulls out a PS2 with a cell phone glued to it and it rings and he takes the call. He then hangs up and says "apparently I'm an idiot"

damn, I thought this was a poll.

since batman is a fictional character, the answer was obvious.
