Help me convince someone to watch Fahrenhype 911

I work with a French-Canadian guy who is extremely liberal, but also claims to be openminded. He recently purchased Fahrenheit 911 and has loaned it out to several people at work, including myself.

I just so happened to be in Sam's Club last week, and saw and picked up the rebuttal Fahrenhype 911 ($8.81), and being the "fair and balanced" guy that I am, have also loaned it out to people at work. Here's the catch: Serge won't watch it. He claims that it's just conservative propaganda and filled with lies. I'll take that, but why not take an hour and a half out of your life anyway? I conceded and sat through F911, why not the quid pro quo?

Help me and others convince him to see the light (or just pick on him for shits and giggles)

Tell him it's only 2 hours out of his lifetime, and if it's as bad as he suspects it is then it will only help confirm everything he thinks about the right-wing media machine.

why- its trash and so was Moore's.

After all the press and attention I tried to watch Moore's and I had to turn it off. It was crap!

Dont we have enough spin?

I suggest PBS's Frontline coverage if you want facts without spin.

I've watched both and see both as propaganda. I don't see what's wrong with the idea of watching both and making up your own mind.

Groucho, he said in his post that he did.

I think it's been well established by now that I only skim posts before replying to them.

Have YOU seen either movie, Chew?

Behavioral scientists at Stanford have recently conducted a large-scale study that discovered that guys will do pretty much anything in exchange for oral sex. So you could offer him that as the "carrot".

Tell him you never want to hear him say he's open-minded again. If he claims to be ever again, you'll blast him with an air horn.

... and I haven't seen either of the movies. Blockbuster has 4 copies of hype and 400 of heit. Goddamn liberal videostore bias

I just picked this up at Wally World, but my friend and I are in a moral quandry now. How do we watch Fahrenheit 9/11 (so we can understand the points made in Hype) without giving MM any of our money?

EDIT: You can tell him he showed you his, now it's time for you to show him yours...

Yes. It was funny! Especially when you've read Kopel's 59 Deceits ahead of time

Serge won't watch it.

I wouldn't waste your time. Obviously he's a hypocrite. Remind him of this and move on (no pun intended). If he ever claims to be open-minded again, just laugh at him and in your best Pinchot voice say things like, "to what is this pertaining?"
