Obviously in St Louis they aren't "America's Team."

Maybe "America's Team" had to be updated with the times. To choose a team that has won a WS this century, the choices had to come from the Diamondbacks, Angels, Marlins, or Red Sox. Seems like a pretty simple choice.

And choosing who to vote for based on that is as stupid and voting for Bush because he threw a strike when he threw out a first pitch, and Kerry didn't. Or if I were to choose Bush because he threw out the first pitch on Opening Day for the Cardinals.

In 2000, the Yankees won with a couple of Texans toeing the slab for the championship, now in 2004 a bunch of Bostonians win. Karma?

It was a loosely drawn analogy, but thanks for doing all that research.

I love how Yankees fans still get can't over the fact their historic collapse will be remembered for far longer than any so-called curse.

The curse has been remembered for 86 years. Come back in 2090 and see if we still remember the Yankees' performance in this year's ALCS.

By the way, the Red Sox now have 6 World Series Championships in 101 years. How many Championships have the Yankees won in that timeframe? (Hint: Take the number of championships the Red Sox have won. Double it. Double it again. You still need to add more Championships to get to the Yankees' total).

How many nuts have slapped Jeter in the chin? Take the total number of Yankee rings, double it, double it again and then add some more, including Jeffrey Maier's pair, to approch the sheer total of chinbruises he's had.
