Now, I know this is just a state senate race in Hawaii, but I find this just a bit frightening. I hope this guy loses, and loses big.

I love how the guy managed to slander the entire Republican party by saying "Finberg [the candidate in question] is part of a much larger pattern."

Nice.

ETA - I hope the national Republicans disavow this guy in the harshest terms, BTW.

maybe I'm reaching here, but Finberg sounds like it might be a jewish name (or would that have to be fineberg?) if so the irony here is too much to handle
and regardless of the name and whether or not it's a jewish name I think this guy needs some new, actually old, clothes

I also think the use of Godwin's law in this case is

I put this in the same group as people that shoot Dr's who perform abortions. The fact that the use the bible blows my mind. I can understand not thinking the lifestyle is ok but putting them to death come on.

the guy does seem pretty confused.

he didn't get a chance to explain himself, i wonder what kind of crap he would have used to explain the position

The host was pressing him pretty hard to answer the question, which he probably didn't want to do. He probably won't make it far in politics, thankfully.

I dont think Finberg is jewish, Feinberg is.

This is the first that I heard of it. I don't know Robb Finberg, but I do live on Oahu.

The website seems extreme.

I support Linda Lingle, the first Republican governor this state has had in my lifetime, and I would like Mike Gabbard to beat Ed Case.

This Finberg character appears gay to me. He must have internal conflict issues.

Don't you have to say stuff like this as a non-democrat in Hawaii just to get a little press? No worry about this guy ever getting elected.
