Was looking at some bookmaker odds for the election, and saw some refered to popular votes. What exactly is that?

The total number of votes a candidate recieves is the popular vote. The President wins based on the electoral votes and not on popular vote.

The "Electoral College Vote" refers to votes made by college students.

The "Popular" vote is everybody else.

the symbol means 'thread crap'. Usually it would mean when someone came into the thread and posted something inflammatory, etc for the express purpose of causing trouble (they're usually called trolls).

The joke here was that he was the only one who actually answered the question.
