It's either Election Night or Four Years of Whining, depending on the spread. Not sure which.

Electoral college is about one month before inauguration, so ~Dec 20. That may be off a couple of days.

Election night. It'll be close, but there'll be a decisive winner. At this point, it could be either fellow from what I've seen.

Last I heard (from relatives in the state) it looks like it's going to be defeated by a big margin.

Tell me if I heard wrong but I believe MSNBC was saying yesterday that no matter what if it's close Kerry's anouncing victory on Election Night.

Only if it's ridiculously close (like in Florida in the 2000 election). I don't think we'll see a repeat of that, probably not in any of our lifetimes anyway.

He can't and won't be announcing it.
Bin Laden will be in US hands in a matter of days.

If George W. Bush does indeed (as the polls indicate) receive 16-20% of the black vote...........

After the lawyers are done, Kerry will have 99% of the vote because all the votes for Bush will be disqualified. It's just like Saddam's Iraq except they won't shoot you for voting for Bush, they'll just sue you.

Well, the Kerry Camp said that he will announce himself the winner on election night no matter what, and he will bust out lawsuits across the country no matter what. I don’t know why he wants to even bother waiting for Nov. 2nd, he should have just filed lawsuits proclaiming him as the President when he first decided he was the President.

No no… seriously now, I think we will know the winner before the end of the year. That’s the best I can guess with these threats of proclaiming oneself as the winner and lawsuits to challenge anyone who opposes.

And what would happen if Bush won handily? It's going to be pretty hard for him to delcare victory if he loses by more then 5 points isn't it?

Maybe.

But I wouldn’t put it past Kerry to declare victory even if he lost by an even greater amount.

And splits thw woman vote as the polls indicate.

Both those numbers make me think this will not be as close as we are lead to believe.

What has been historically accurate are the markets as far as predicting a winner. The money seems to be on Bush at this time. Wouldn't put it past the DNC or Kerry to declare a win inspite of losing by 20-30 electoral votes.

the reasoning behind this is to be more on offense than Gore was in 2000. they believe part of the reason why Bush was more perceived as the victor than Gore even before all the recounts were over was that Gore conceded the election than retracted it. So this time around the Dems want to declare a quick victory and have Bush play catch up
