Looks like she's just talking to the lady in white?

Yes, she's just talking to Laura Bush! You're right, that's much funnier!

Maybe she's asking her, "What the hell is that on your husband's back?"

I think this going back and forth between funny dork and serious dork is causing some problems.

Okay, fine, shoot the messenger. I can take it. They all thought Manson was crazy, too.

But what the hell is it?

That site, compiled by someone who seems to have entirely too much free time, has a veritable cornucopia of bulges. Such as this one:

Spooky!

Dammit, I'm forced to look at muggins's naked back and he's not even an elected official. You'd better believe the Commander in Chief should be required to take it off for the public. It'd all be perfectly tasteful and we'd stop as soon as he felt uncomfortable. But I demand answers!

If I were President, I would allow my fellow citizens to gaze upon my back.

The more I think see it, the more I'm convinced it's a bulletproof vest, regardless of what the SS says.

And this is why you'd never be elected, muggins. You're too pure.

Wouldn't an assassin aim for the head?

Of course. So there's no reason to even bother with a bullet-proof vest. Assassins never miss, nor does any yokel trying to take a potshot at the President. It'd also be much nicer of him if he didn't wear a vest. That way they could all just aim for the much larger and easier to strike "center-mass" target. By wearing a vest the President is just shamefully making life more difficult for a minority section of our population.

Call the NAAAP.

(Very glad you're not a member of the Secret Service, CRM. )

And they call this a movie forum... I thought it was pretty obvious from the onset

gotta be a vest, he's worn them at other times when it has been admitted, like when he threw out that pitch at the baseball game a couple years ago

I agree with you. In Irfanview, I gave the picture a huge gamma boost to see detail on the dark suits. There is a clear line down Bush's back, and some unnatural bulges in Kerry's coat too. I think Secret Service is lying, and both men are wearing "discreet" bulletproof vests to provide at least some protection while being as concealled as possible.

Would you believe a bulletproof t-shirt? I don't know for certain, we need more poodle.
