Jon Stewart backs Kerry

Does anyone think that this will have any affect on the election?

I feel it may have some considering the size of his audience.

Probably won't make any difference. It's interesting that his fake news show is so popular that Stewart now actually has some weight in the real media. Good for him. But it's as imrickjames said: everyone already knows where Stewart stands.

Good to see a Green Lantern can take the time to vote from the tower.

Any hints at who Clark, Bruce and Wally are voting for?

Wow, I'm shocked.

I wonder how this will be taken vis a vis TDS's ad campaign, with slogans like:

"Zero Credibility" and "Even Better Than Being Informed"

I've been waiting for Jon to make up his mind. I guess no more focus groups for me as I'm officially leaving the ranks of "undecided". Thank you OP!

You mean Rolling Stone doesn't have someone supporting a Republican on its cover this month?

I got Rolling Stone, GQ, and Stuff all on the same day (cheap-o eBay subscriptions ): Stewart had interviews in all three.

Who is Rush backing? That could be the clincher.

He had that Monica look, stuttering and stammering, tossing softball questions to Kerry on his show. Trouble was, Kerry was still whiffing.

Softball questions on "The Daily Show."

You do realize it's a fake news show, right?

Those segments were designed to make Kerry look as good as possible. I know it isn't a news show. But it still looked like a fawning Monica look that Stewart had. He was stammering and stuttering. Looked like he was in love.

He may back Kerry, and he may have given him softball questions, but I wouldn't say that Jon actually likes Kerry. I really think he is choosing the lesser of two evils in his eyes. Which is what most people seem to be doing here as well.

I propose a new title for the article: Jon Stewart Endorses 7-Year-Old.

Really, this is from the "duh" files.

Speaking of comedians, last month, LA Weekly had an interesting interview with Leno.

BTW, on the Tonight SHow last year, didn't Kerry, wearing a leather jacket, ride up on the stage in a motorcycle?

Post pics, plz.

Jon Stewart is great in interviews, no?

While I'm not surprised that he'd vote Kerry, I'm surprised that he announced it. In the past he's tried to maintain a nonpartisan line in interviews.
