Unthinkable ( Gregor Jordan, 2010) Sam Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss

Anyone seen this yet? I watched it the other day.

A fairly graphic film about the 'Jack Bauer' scenario so often discussed in political threads about what is and isn't 'torture'. Not a great film by a damn sight, but it dives headlong into the issue in a big way.

Apparently it's a pretty hot button film as some sites have removed reviews and the like... basically censoring type of stuff regarding the movie.

Haven't seen it yet, looked a bit too much like The Siege but will check it out now though.

It was a great film! i can't believe no one made a movie like this before. It was the epitome of political films and a major rebuttal to characters like Michael Moore that only seem hell bent on showing that torture doesn't work. Of course it works! it successfully tortures them!

Why would they censor the reviews? I don't recall other politically charged films getting censored reviews or being pulled. I just finished watching it. Great movie, good performances from Jackson and Moss.

I just saw it, and agree that it was excellent. It delved into subject matter than many are afraid to tackle, and they did a very good job of showing all sides of it. Great performances, and plot that pulls you in from the first frame... and the DVD commentary is also very interesting. He discusses how much the FBI assisted in making the film, how much of what you saw was reality vs just made up... all in all, very enjoyable.

And ya gotta get a kick out of Sam Jackson doing "Unthinkable" after already doing a film called "Unbreakable".

Oh, and I personally prefer the Extended version to the theatrical one, but to each their own. I see why they had two different endings as they both make VERY different statements, but I guess I like the darker one.
