I was just poking fun at your Immortal/Immoral typo.

You've got to realize that everyone posting in this thread has managed to escape death...at least, so far.

I have escaped death at every turn. So clearly I am immortal.

Sorry to hear a fellow forum member was going through some difficult times. (I used the Google image trick mentioned earlier, and his location is included in his member profile.)

You can also find names on the Facebook group that was created. A certain banned member would show up there from time to time. And it's a good gathering spot to confirm if the forum is down.

No offense to the deceased, but how did he find the time for movies? I work a 9-5, and rarely have the time to fit one into my weekend!

If what Iíve read about him is true, regardless of what he posted on here, he is a pretty despicable person.

Well rip.
His name on here is certainly familiar to me.

Re: RIP NORML54601

I have imagined dying in some hospital somewhere, an intubation tube snaked down my throat, my teary-eyed wife and daughter standing over me, watching my life slowly ebb away. I reach for her phone, and with shaky fingers type the following into her Notes app:

DVDTALK FORUM
LOGIN JFOOBAR
PWD [insert password]
TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED

OH, ALSO, I LOVE YOU.

In all seriousness, I know most people here think I am an argumentative prick (accurate), but I have been here for so long, including several years as a moderator back in the Geoff days, that I would want to let everyone know I had died if I could.

It's okay. Most people on here think I'm a loud mouth manhating baby killing bull dyke. There'll probably be a Good Riddance thread when I kick off. 😜

I don't think you're a baby killer. Despite some assertions to the contrary, I am indeed vehemently pro-choice.

If you happen to leave/disappear before I do, I will miss you.

Re: RIP NORML54601

Vibiana, you will be missed by me, and this is such an odd thing for me to state, but one of the reasons why I will not forget you is that there was a comment I made several years back in one of this sites threads about how I could pretty much live/work anywhere, including Kansas (I was probably indicating that living in a lower cost of living state that is not CA would not be a big issue for me, as I know some folks would not be caught dead living/working in certain states in the United States Of America), and you replied saying basically, it is all well and good that I could live/work anywhere including Kansas but take it from you that I should stick it out as a a Californian for as long as I can, lol!

I always chuckle to myself when I think of your reply to me.

I haven't noticed those character traits in either of you, but I must confess to not being very observant. I do remember, Vibiana, that you made what could be construed as anti-Asian remarks years ago.

We should have stopped and said "hi" when we drove through Kansas City. But that was the only day of the trip where we had a deadline. I'm going to have to keep my impression of you as an angry one-armed spinster. Sorry.

yeah, that's the comment that I'd just gloss over, maybe poor taste but that's never been a crime on the internet. Now, it reads a lot more sinister, as if it comes from experience. Ugh.

... to my everlasting regret and shame. I also got barbecued about check cashing and the Simpsons. The hazing was brutal, but the place grew on me, what can I say?
