Haha. I posted jokes about sobriety. I'm a lifelong square but tend to make friends with troubled people for some reason. I honestly think it's because we like the same movies and music. And doing good music and movies together is like doing drugs together.

I didn't get to look him up before links were taken down. So no idea what you guys are talking about.

Anyways, RIP dude.

On that note, you guys know my name. If I'm ever gone for more than a week def check the obituaries. No matter what it says, I was murdered.

For the record, no matter what fingerprint analysis, video surveillance evidence and my handwritten confession says, I didn’t murder Troy Stiffler.

Btw, I always thought it was fake name using an American Pie reference.

If a guy from CO who looks like Roy Scheider was seen lurking around Troy Stiffler's shop, I'm sure that it was a coincidence.

Yeah, I completely understand the doxxing rule. There are people here who know me IRL, and they have my permission to reveal info about me if/when I die, especially if it's an interesting story. I have a feeling it'll just be boring, though. "Bandoman passed away in his Stickley recliner watching Star Trek when he choked on a particularly large piece of pepperoni on his pizza."

Again with the "if I die" business. I travel in the wrong circles, apparently.

I'm planning on having my brain transplanted into a cyborg body. I want to be a Cymek and cause the Butlerian Jihad someday.

Bandoman's destined to die when a cute dame bends over, and too much blood courses through his fabled schlong.

"So long, Sport." I like to pull that line out every once in a while.
Btw, I always thought it was fake name using an American Pie reference.
It isn't? Nobody in the real world can be named Stiffler.

As for doxxing, I approve of what story said, but I thought we know the real names of at least two deceased members, to wit danol and classicman.

Re: RIP NORML54601

^ I confess that I tried to find NORML’s real name through the DVD traders lists in that sub forum. I couldn’t find it but thanks to my curiosity I now know a bunch of y’all’s names (full disclosure: my real name is in there too).

Re: RIP NORML54601

Ya'll have full permission to talk about me when I'm gone. Hell, I'd be happy if anybody even notices I am here.

I think there are two members on here that know my real name. There used to be more. I had nothing to do with their disappearances.

Interestingly enough, I Googled Abob Teff ... I am apparently a 13-year old character in some sort of mythical Pokemon/D&D hybrid thing.

At least you named yourself in honor of Boba Fett before he was mainstream.

If I stop posting on this forum, no one will notice.

I was the man before the man was. Well, not quite.

I'd notice, Nick. I hate to admit this, but I really don't look at names when I read posts. I might have a pissing match with you one minute and buy you a beer the next because I didn't even pay attention to who I was rowing with. That said, there are a few people who jump out at me even when I'm not paying attention.

This is my view... No one notices when I'm here, so they're sure as hell not going to notice when I'm gone.

Added "notify DVDtalk" to "things to do after I die" list. I hope you're all cool with ghosts.

Is that before or after “clear browser history” on your list?

This is in the same category as "sex toys in bed side table", and I decided I don't care, so after.

To whom are you replying?

No, but I think we have a generally amicable group of core members remaining, all of them many years past whatever prime they may have had.

Et tu, Norm?

I'm counting on you to report my death, should it come to it.

Would you want me to? I certainly wouldn't do it without express permission. Besides, I'll probably take a hike before you do.

Not sure if I'd consider myself immoral. I do try to be a good person.

Yes, I wouldn't want to leave the folks on DVDT wondering why threads seem to keep going on. The lack of the 'thread killer' posts would probably be puzzling.

I definitely don't want to take that hike, for many years, but I'm probably 10 years your senior. But yes, I know what you're saying, unfortunately.

You're the third person in this thread to refer to their death in vague fashion, as if it's just a possibility, not an inevitability. I guess my third swing at this joke means I have struck out.
