Yeah, pretty much.

A little more background, for our new members who weren't here at the time: He sold DVDTalk to Internet Brands in 2007 or thereabouts, and was still a semi-active member, though no longer an owner, mod, or admin. A few years later, he started up a competing website and forum covering pop culture, and began promoting it in this forum. This was seen as an attempt to siphon DVDTalk members away from this board over to his new board, which ultimately led to him being banned. This is considered spamming and is frowned upon here.

(So is discussing banned members, so I'll shut the fuck up now.)

That's a LOT of words for someone who doesn't care
Not that he wrong (he isn't), but it's kind of funny.

I may start doing this for stuff like Scream Factory. Some of those go for more than I bought the movie for.

I don't have one handy at the moment to use as an example, but you can see what I mean with Arrow's limited edition of The Hills Have Eyes, where the bottom of the card connects to the front of the slipcase:

I think Norm and cult are referring to this:

And like cultshock said, "case insert" is (AFAIK) the correct answer.

I hate J-cards. Just print that shit on the back! Eureka does that too on sets.

Slipcovers are the ones that go completely around the case (except usually a cutout for the barcode). In retailer listings they're called O-cards.

We have a customer that imports all that stuff, so I've learned the differences between "O-cards", "J-cards", etc.

Isn't "case insert" the thing that goes inside the case, behind the two tabs, and next to the disc? The thing that often used to have chapter listings, but that studios mostly phased out around the time Blu-ray launched.

I think the above would be called "cover art" or "cover insert", yes?

Edit: I guess they're both called case inserts: https://www.cdrom2go.com/knowledgebase-dvd-case-inserts
There's the outer case insert and the inner case insert.

Quote from that site

Spiderman No Way Home is putting to bed the corona excuse disney has been using for the marvel trash they have put out in the last year. Make a movie people want to see then message the movie correctly and people will go watch it. Well done Sony
Anyone wanna tell him?

I mostly do the same and I've been signed up there for about 10-years now. Signed up here first and as others mentioned, I like it quite a bit more because it's laid back.

The users there buy so many discs in general that it isn't too bad of a place to check A/V quality on specific discs before buying.
