Stock Market Meltdown

re: Stock Market Meltdown
He didn't drive the squeeze, that was the subreddit. He invested back in 2019 because he saw value in the stock without the possibility of a short squeeze ever happening.
He also never hid he was licensed. He has a whole YouTube channel about his investment strategies.

^ The article links him to that subreddit as "Roaring Kitty". Now whether he was truly very active pumping that stock on that subreddit and also hid the fact he was not an amateur investor, I have no idea.

I thought Deep Fucking Value was the one that pushed the stock and started buying years ago? I'm not familiar with Roaring Kitty, but also didn't peruse Reddit actively.

Roaring Kitty is his YouTube channel. DeepFuckingValue is his Reddit name. He simply made a post showing his position, and explaining why he thought GameStop was a good long-term investment opportunity, and then posted his unrealized gains/losses monthly/weekly/daily. And for about a year he was getting crushed on the subreddit, and everyone was mocking him saying he dumped over $50k on a loser stock. And you know what he said? If you're so sure that I'm wrong, bet against me.

I'm not savvy enough to understand what a "gamma squeeze" actually is (it all sounds like gibberish to me) but the blatant market manipulation here (and not from individual stock volumes) is obscene, and I don't get why we don't focus (on the government level) on that instead of the retail market for buying stocks.

Gamma squeeze is just a reference to buying shares to cover options contracts that have been exercised.
If they don't have the shares to cover that contract, then they have to buy them which - in the case of GME - meant buying from people that are holding the shares and are driving the price waaaaay up.

The current one is all speculation right now (there are a lot of theories, despite how sure some people sound, it's still largely theory), but it's definitely apparent somebody is toying with the market.

I bought about $30 worth of Doge yesterday. I'm not a big time investor, I just like to play a bit.

When all this started back in Jan I spent $10 on Doge at 2¢.
a couple day later bought $40 more at about 8¢
So I have 929 Doges?
I have no idea what it is or what I have.

The DJIA (or that graph of rich peoples feelings as it’s sometimes referred to) has closed over 34,000, which I believe is an all time high.

Pretty much all of my crypto investments have gone crazy in the past year, but Doge is a weird one. I picked up 1000 when it was under a penny expecting to never see that $10 again.

I had to buy my doge on Robinhood. Ive heard the horror stories of them not allowing people to sell. Anyone had experience with them?

re: Stock Market Meltdown
I've never had an issue with them, other than the weird Gamestop debacle in which people were unable to buy. I think there was a glitch yesterday with crypto trading, but I'm not getting any errors today.
Doge is now at $.45
Crazy.
