Yeah, I've worked with a few coworkers from India, and it's interesting that they can make it through college and into the workforce without reasonable hygiene. In the cubicle environment, you would smell them from a few feet away, but inside a closed meeting room, your eyes would start to water. Body odor like they just had a great workout at the gym mixed in with a little curry spice smell. But, yeah, one of them was really attractive.

Re: Smelly
I have a tough question.
My best employee has been with me for two years. She is beyond fantastic, she is beautiful, great with customers, knows her stuff, I'd pay her double if she asked.
I have a rep that comes by every week, also fantastic, gives me great product, always friendly and professional.
Both of them smell like old people. Not a slight whiff of smell, but an overriding smell. Is there anything I can do?
I am in no position to bring it up. I feel badly for my employee because she is single, again beautiful (smart, independent, self-reliant, etc.)
Who knows, maybe I smell bad?
I love them both so much, I wish there was a way to make this modest improvement.

Re: Smelly
I don't really have an update, I still have both my employee and rep. I'm addressing a few things in this thread.
Older people have a natural (studies done), uncontrolable "smell", and I'm sure most could identify it immediately. If you ever had ribbon candy, you probably know what I'm talking about.
"Maybe it's me" The smell isn't from me, but what if I have a smell that is offensive to my employees? Are they going to tell their boss that he stinks? Or that they don't like his cologne? Personally, I am OK with constructive, even personal, criticism.
Single and engaged are pretty much the same thing. And someone can be beautiful and off-limits. There's not one damned thing wrong with finding someone attractive, and off-limits. Attractive is a descrptor, as is unattractive. Brie Larson is attractive. Sue me.
Giantrobo- laughed
movieguru - No, neither.
MLBFan24 - not that deep of an issue. This is a personal opinion of a co-worker, not an employment one.
Vinvegav- "So said employee is beautiful (x2), you love them, AND they smell (or maybe you smell?) - Yes, I don't know why someone can't be all of those things.
Abob Teff - Could this just be a ploy from the OP to try to get their clothes off of them? - No.
