Re: Anybody use CBD in some form?

There's one thing about edibles though, ingesting is not as efficient/reliable (effects wise) as inhaling/vaping. So even though that $160 CDN/ounce Charlotte's Web strain sounds a little expensive, if I had need for a high CBD product, I'd probably choose that over edibles.

Still, vaping offers the safety advantage of allowing people to more easily calibrate doses. Inhaled cannabis goes almost immediately across the blood-brain barrier, and its effects are felt. This at least affords a person an opportunity to know when it would be wise to put down the vape.

This stands in contrast to the also-booming field of edible cannabis. Though this could seem like the safest route, the dosing question is even tougher, and overdosing more likely. Digested in food, the THC has to pass through the liver before traveling to the brain, which means it can take around an hour to achieve its maximal effect—depending on how much a person has eaten, and varying from person to person. This is not to mention variation in dosing from edible product to edible product, which is difficult to standardize across every single bite of brownie that comes out of every batch. It can be a guessing game.

Re: Anybody use CBD in some form?

i would agree with that. when i vape my cbd flower (thc is 0.3%, so technically considered hemp under the laws from what i understand) i feel immediate and noticeable results. when i take the oil the effects aren't noticeable.

I went to a tiki bar last night that offered cbd oil infused in its drinks. Never saw that before.

My discount was approved so I placed my first order today. I'm curious about how this will affect the pain.

There are a handful of breweries making CBD-infused beers. I don't know if it's a regular offering, but Funk Factory in Wisconsin has added CBD oil to any of their beers on tap for $2 in the past.

It's been about 3 weeks for me and I haven't noticed anything. I'm afraid it might not be beneficial for me

Tincture. One dropper full under my tongue. The label says 33mg per dropper, even though the description on the site was different. Here is a link to the product:

Can you build a tolerance to CBD, much like the thc in marijuana after time?

I guess I should've given an update. Oops. I only took the caps for one day. I didn't do enough research before jumping in, and CBD causes reactions to certain meds in the same way grapefruit does. And I take a med (statin) that don't mix with it. So until I can talk to my doctor (VA, so could be awhile), I'm holding off. Apparently not a good idea to just stop taking statins.

But in researching, I found that the side effects of the statin could be responsible for why I want to take the CBD in the first place!

Re: Anybody use CBD in some form?

I use CBD to help with my epilepsy, taking 120mg daily. That is much, much more than the average person would take. I have found it to be a huge help in terms of seizures, but also a more focused and calm personality all around. After doing plenty of reading awhile ago, I only use www.sunsoil.com

Processing of it is a huge part, along with making sure it is full-spectrum. I am a huge proponent of it and would love to answer any questions as I have been using it daily for just over 2 years.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. I take something for cholesterol, I only take a dropper (1 mg) of CBD oil daily but I also vape lower strength 1:1 THC/CBD dry flower, so I should check to see if it causes any issues with my medicine. So far I haven't noticed any adverse affects, what kind of reactions are possible?

Grapefruit (and CBD) can alter the level of medication in your blood, but it can also increase the risk of side effects, some of which may be serious.
Took that (sans the CBD part) from this site. Not all statins are affected, so make sure ya check.

Thanks man, I'll definitely look into this.

Of course, I just ordered a bottle of CBD oil and THC/CBD flower this morning.

Studies show no, while users say yes. So it's something that perhaps you have to experience for yourself.

Re: Anybody use CBD in some form?

If anything, I've heard that CBD has more of a cumulative effect for its positive aspects. Admittedly, that might be bro science though.

Don't take it across the border:

Re: Anybody use CBD in some form?

Yeah, I read that story. A few months ago I had to convince my father to NOT bring his CBD oil on my parents' trip to the US. He didn't think it would be a problem as "you can buy CBD in stores down there now, so it's ok". I had to tell him that 1. the CBD oil sold in NYS is hemp derived, the stuff in Canada is not, and 2. there are a whole different set of rules when crossing an international border. A bunch of Canadians have been issued lifetime bans so far for stuff like this. One really needs to understand the laws at the border before crossing. I cross near daily and believe me, my car is clean as a whistle. I can't be banned from the US because I'm a US citizen, but I wouldn't relish the idea of having an extensive search every time I crossed if I ended up on "the list" because I did something dumb like that lady did. Not remotely worth the risk, one just needs to know the rules before hand.
