What are you most looking forward to the rest of this year? (2019)

i got to be honest, i don't have much on plate right now, but the one thing i am really looking forward to, at least right now, is Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Final Season). i have just been counting days. dunno if that sad or not, probably, but i can't wait. will watch live, which i rarely do. only this show i have watched mostly live, i believe. that and my other favorites of course. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. Those were almost always watched live.

of course Avengers: Endgame i am hyped for, but this is like the culmination of an 8+ year journey. of course that could be said of Endgame too (which was longer actually starting with Iron Man in 2008), but this show is just much much more.

So, for the rest of the year, what are you looking forward to most?

Spring and Summer weather. With each passing year I get more and more disgusted with winter.

And with relation to warmer weather, I'm really looking forward to doing a lot of riding. I hate riding in below 20C weather.
I started late last year, so I only got about 2 months of riding in - which wound up being only just over 2,000kms.
I'll have the chance to start earlier this year and hope to get at least 4,500kms of riding in.

Amen, brother.

I was born and raised in Colorado but between the cost of living (which is entering ludicrous territory) and my extreme hatred of cold weather, Iím considering moving to a warmer climate more and more. The coast sounds nice...

Well warmer weather for starters, hopefully beginning to ween myself off of antidepressants, and having some closure to therapy. Getting back to work, Rambo 5 and John Wick 3, and the return of football in the fall. I'm excited to see what Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs will do for an encore to last season.

There is nothing to look forward to but the warm embrace of death.

Your cost of living on the coast will be even more ludicrous! I'm sure it's only within reach of "the 1%" at this point. Sadly and damnably. A mere 30 years ago, it was still within reach of the "middle" class contingent.

Re: What are you most looking forward to the rest of this year? (2019)

At this point, I'm looking forward to one thing: Winter weather at the end of the year. Perhaps not looking too forward to the 2020s decade, as that has all the early indications of being "the turbulent and tumultuous twenties." As we further insulate ourselves and become more and more disparate in what is good or bad for the country

Time to move out of Dodge, and pack it out to New Zealand to live amongst the sheep -- the real sheep, not the sheeple that many Americans have become, complacent, convenience-orientated and risk-averse.

Re: What are you most looking forward to the rest of this year? (2019)

Traveling to Asia at the end of May. Heading to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Siem Reap. Great food, attractions, hitting the bars and seeing a lot of pretty bar girls. The bar scene in Asia is so much more interesting than here.

Looking forward to it so much.

The Summer movie season. Warmer weather. The cold weather here in California has lasted long enough. My bones and body are constantly stiff.

and hopefully if all goes well, I'll be off blood thinners by the Fall. I've been on blood thinners for almost 2 years due to DVT in my leg.

As long as it's a warm embrace. Like I already said - cold sucks.

My husband's crippling alimony payments will be over in June. Woo Hoo

Also hoping to go on some sort of cheap cruise in the fall. Something last minute---maybe Canada out of NYC.

We're getting the roof fixed. Sure, it only leaks a few days out of the year, but that's too much.

You should move to Florida, if you can stand the inhabitants and the cultural vacuum, and don't mind the rising ocean levels that will eventually flood the land. As for myself, I don't mind the four seasons, but I do mind the unrelenting unhappiness. Non-existence is a not-displeasing prospect.

Re: What are you most looking forward to the rest of this year? (2019)

Going back to Vegas in June. Can't wait for that. Got a balcony room at the Cosmopolitan, so I'm doing it right this time. My first visit was a blast, but my basic room at the Flamingo was little different or better than a room at the Hampton Inn.

Otherwise, I want to get out and use my drone a lot more. I've had it for a year now and Saturday was the fourth time I've had the damn thing out.

There's a great thread here. A counter to "Should I go to a singles mixer?" -- "Should I mix my DNA in multiple singles?"

When it ends

A lot of rain in the Bay Area which is good but other stuff happened that ruined everything and it could get worse.

Maybe it is just me but years that end in odd numbers are not the best years.

2020 should be exciting with the Summer Olympics and the election and those years are usually the best.
