Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

60. I like the room cold, with a fan blowing in my face, with the rest of my body under the covers.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

We usually keep it at around 67F at night (personally, I'd like it colder but you know, there's the wife to consider, she's always cold.. ). Nothing worse than trying to sleep if it's too warm.

50 to 55F. and even colder in Winter. Anything over 60F is getting uncomfortably warm, and above 70F is too hot.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

Cold and under the covers. In the summertime I just sleep on top of the bed. I wake up and it's still made.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

I like it cold but if I make it too cold the cats sleep under the covers with me and heat me up. So we keep it around 67. They still lay under the covers with me but don't press up against me.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

Under 65. 50 would be ideal, but my husband couldn't stand it.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

I usually have either the ceiling fan or a small Table fan in the corner of my bedroom running. I live in a WWII Era row house and unless I keep the thermostat at about 65 in the winter, the upstairs is way too warm.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

Between 60 degrees in the winter and 75 degrees in the summer. I still used one blanket last summer. I don't tolerate cold as well as I used to.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

The wife keeps things at 73. I guess I must be used to it because most of the temperatures listed here sound too frigid for me.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

In the winter, heat is set to 73 during the day, 71 while we sleep. We're not as young as we used to be, for us it's all about comfort now, and temps in the 60's in our own home is just too damned cold.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

65 with a celling fan on, even in the winter. It has to be cold or I won't have a good night's sleep.

Is that healthy? I use to have a fan in my face but then my noise and throat would feel bad.

I have the fan on as white noise though.

73 is too hot.

Nobody ever has said it is so hot I want to go to sleep.

Low 60's is ok with me

Even in the summer when you don't need a blanket I still have it in the bed and I might roll it down so it only covers my feet but I always use sheets.

23C (73) and a fan. 60 F? That's nuts, I'd die.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

I listen to sports talk or some music in bed and usually I am out after the 3rd or 4th song.

Yesterday it was only one after listening to a Sinatra song.

Like many here I prefer it a little cooler. I sleep at 64F with fan going.

Cold. Ideally, probably around 60F but we don't set the thermostat to lower than 64.

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

This is seriously a relationship-breaker (meaning seperate bedrooms in the end). Every woman I've met, save two or three of Northern European descent and domincile, like it 80 degrees the year-round, especially and annoyingly at night, sleeping, and go into a tizzy if it goes below 75 degrees. It's even worse than smoking (!) in being a relationship wrecker (psychological and physical).

That's madness. Those people have defective internal thermostats. I'm sure several women I've met seem to have undiagnosed hyperthroidism. How else can medical science explain this untenable difference between mankind and womankind??!!!

Re: your ideal sleeping temperature?

How high will people here keep the temperature in the house during summer?

78 I think is the recommended temperature but that is too hot.

No No No 78 is unbearable. At my house it will be 65 when I control the thermostat, then my husband will turn it up only to have me turn it down. It will end up being either 65, or 69 with a fan on us.
