How do you get rid of a scab that won't completely heal?

So it was basically a cut, then it scabbed over, but new skin has yet to form over the scab and it's just this ugly looking scab. it's peeled off bc hit it against something, but scabbed over again, but not completely healed. how can i get rid of it for good?

You just have to leave it alone until it naturally falls off. It heals under, not over, the scab.

Patience...

Go to a dermatologist. My wife had one of those. It was earliest-possible-stage melanoma. They cut it the fuck out of her.

Do what Dan said and go to a dermatologist or a doctor. Stop asking questions here.

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on DVDtalk.

But, seriously, haven't we all been through this before? You get a scab, it gets knocked off too early, and it bleeds again. A new scab forms.

Unless there's something unusual about it, or a sign of infection, it sounds perfectly normal.

Dab some expensive salsa on it. I mean, really expensive. The pricier, the better.

OldBoy, are you not a grade-school teacher, or am I thinking of someone else? Holy shite, the writing!

Re: How do you get rid of a scab that won't completely heal?

I sometimes wonder what would happen if we all ignored all of these questions from oldbot if he would actually survive.

Here, in between the snark and sarcasm at least there is a handful of actual responses that are good and should tell him what to do.
If he didn’t have DvdTalk and had to ask somewhere else he’d probably be dead by now.

Now oldboy stop asking these nonsensical questions and do what any normal person would do and use the webMD app.

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Oldboy, unless it gets infected and starts oozing nasty shit and smelling gangrenous, just leave it alone and stop worrying about it, it will take care of itself in time, it just won't happen overnight. Keep picking at it and it will never heal.

If you're not continually picking the new scabs off, it should heal eventually. If you are diabetic, it could take a long time to heal.

Re: How do you get rid of a scab that won't completely heal?

How do I do it? I wait until it's almost (but not quite) healed and then I pick off the scab. It bleeds and forms a smaller scab. Repeat indefinitely. It's not recommended, but that's what I do.

No one has asked how long he had the cut or the right questions...do you normally heal like Wolverine? Or like you know a normal human?

Will OldBoy cease to exist whenever DVDTalk is gone? How will he function?

Sometimes I think he posts these threads just to see the reaction. He knows what the answer is. He doesn't campaign to get his threads to blow up though. I appreciate that subtlety.

Or, will DVDTalk cease to exist if OldBoy leaves?
