Fast Food Delivery services?

Just found out that I can get Taco Bell delivered by GrubHub.

No where on their website does it mention delivery cost.

It did mention if you order 12 dollars that its free delivery.

Anyone use their service?

How long does it usually take do you get your order?

How much of a tip do you give the driver?

Grubhub has a promotion right now that Taco Bell deliveries don’t have any fees.

Source: I started driving Grubhub this week.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

The only thing with having fast food delivered is it would get cold really fast. But I guess if you couldn't get to a location and absolutely needed a TB fix or whatever, then GH would suffice.

Keep us updated, majorjoe23.

If the place is about 8 miles away then how long should someone expect for delivery?

What normally do they charge for an order delivered?

It's too bad they just don't have a flat fee to keep people from guessing how much it's going to cost.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

Considering Taco Bell is basically drunk food, I’d say having it delivered is a public service!

I noticed a sign the other day that Wendy’s delivers now too. I guess the country has gotten so fat and lazy we can’t even get up to get our own fast food. ‘Merica!

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

I have yet to accept a delivery from Taco Bell through DoorDash. For some reason it bothers me to do a delivery on cheap fast food.

Wendy's has an agreement with DoorDash.

I think Taco Bell is with GrubHub and Burger King is with Postmates? McDonalds tends to go with Uber Eats in terms of promotions from what I've seen.

I've done deliveries for Burger King and Mcdonalds. I don't usually like to do them because the pay is so low.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

I use door dash once or twice a week. The delivery fee is usually only a couple bucks and it takes 30 minutes or so. My only negative is our order has something wrong about 50% of the time which is not an issue with door dash but the stupid restaurants bagging the orders.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

I mainly use DoorDash, but it's expensive if they aren't having a promotion. Usually $4 delivery fee (that doesn't go to the driver), and they sneak more fees into the "taxes and fees" line, so it isn't obvious they are soaking you. Plus you kinda gotta tip the delivery guy too. Usually only do it if I'm too stoned to drive.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

Is there a general assumption on tipping for this type of service? Same as pizza delivery kind of thing?

School me on DoorDash...this is basically like Uber for food right? Meaning someone who is a non-employee of said restaurant goes in and makes the order for you and delivers it to your door? Do you get to rate your delivery people? Funny, I don't feel weird about the guy from the pizza place coming to deliver, but worry about a third-party scoping out my place.

Re: Fast Food Delivery services?

You order food from a restaurant listed on the DoorDash app and a driver goes and picks up the food to deliver to a home or business. I get a certain dollar amount of the order plus a tip and it's all done online. Nothing to worry about in people scoping out a house as I've done more than 600 orders and don't remember every name, face, or address. Also it's much safer than working as a pizza delivery driver. All transactions are online so I don't carry any cash and there is little chance of being robbed.

Uber Eats doesn't work with my address but it looks like DoorDash has tons of options available. Decent service?

after fees and tip, just assume you're spending at around $10 more than you would if you went to the restaurant and picked it up yourself. And menus on Doordash aren't always complete. For some reason, when I order chipotle on doordash, they don't have an option to add a drink And sometimes prices are really wonky ... there's a local place that has Chicken Pho for $12 ... but when you order it on doordash, it's $20.

Whenever I have an issue with doordash, they are very quick to credit my account.

In South Korea for example, food delivery services are everywhere so it's more like US catching up then the other way around.

Cool; thanks. if I do use it, I'll be sure to keep an eye on the sale price.
