Maybe a blood blister? Did you pinch your finger in something?

Yeah, looks like a blood blister.

Simple explanation in another thread, I believe.

No pinches that I remember. I do some manual work on weekends and could have done something to area, but no idea what or what it is. Seems like blood. Doesn’t hurt to touch or anything...

Why not just post a short response? What you offered isn't helpful in any way. It would've taken you an extra, what, ten seconds?

Blood blister is my guess, too.

I think the answer to the thumbnail question is in the Oldboy thread, "What time is it?"

(I'm not sure if he ever got the correct answer.

It's melanoma. The OP will be dead within six months... Better start giving away your DVDs now!

Looks like AIDS. Sorry bro.

Seriously take care of yourself. I have a business friend who just had a serious infection start with an ingrown hair or small cut. I guess they had to cut out two inches deep of flesh. His diabetes complicated it ... a non diabetic would have healed. He didn’t. Came close to dying.

Well, that changes everything. I’d like to change my diagnosis.

It’s very clear now. You obviously have been storing your DVDs in a climate that has promoted their breakdown. Something occurred which knocked the spores lose and you inhaled them. You have contracted DVD rot.
