The proper way to eat a peanut and jelly sandwich
I watched my wife take a bite of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the jelly side down. 😮
She saw the look on my face, and said, “What the f is your problem?”
I said, “ You just bit that sandwich jelly-side down!”
This got me wondering... do other people eat sandwiches the wrong way?
Peanut butter goes on the bottom.

The only way to eat peanut butter is straight out of the jar, while walking quickly in a crowd of people eating chocolate, and not looking where you're going.

Whatever way I pick the sandwich up dictates how I eat it, I've never even given it a moment's consideration.

Has anybody ever experimented to see if it tastes any better with the jelly side up or down? I think I'd have to be high as fuck to even try it.

Jelly on one slice and peanut butter on the other slice is wrong.
Peanut butter on both slices of bread. Then jelly between the two. It keeps the bread from getting soggy from the jelly.
This way there is no upside down.

^ That's heresy. It's difficult to spread jelly properly on top of peanut butter, and with that much peanut butter, you'd need to increase the amount of jelly to keep the ratio proper, leading to an overstuffed mess.

I eat peanut and jelly sandwiches all the time! Very crunchy, and the peanuts keep flying out! They're even better if you don't take them out of the shell first.

I like to keep the peanut butter down and jelly up. That keeps the heavy slice, the one with peanut butter adhering to it, on the bottom.
I don't pay attention to which way up my wife eats her sandwiches. She is much more casual than I am. She's happy if her socks are the same color intensity, even if one is blaze orange and the other is tennis ball green. There is no possible good ending to that discussion.

Personally I put creamy peanut butter on one slice of bread and crunchy on the other slice of bread. Then spread jelly on the crunchy side. Is that enough "tooth" for you?

The proper way is to first throw the jelly into the garbage. Then, toast a slice of good whole wheat bread and spread creamy peanut butter on it. Jif, not Adams (it's the one time sweet peanut butter is better). Then, top that with slices of dill pickles, preferably home fermented. No need for a second slice of bread. Serve for breakfast with black coffee.

Beat me to it. This is what I was going to post. PB goes on both pieces of bread with jelly in the middle and any other way is utterly wrong.

Regarding spreading it, buy jam, rather than jelly. It spreads much better. At least for the grape jam that I buy.

You are making it wrong.
2 slices of wheat bread lightly toasted, crunchy peanut butter on one side, grape jelly on the other with 4 to 5 slices of bacon in the middle.
