Re: The proper way to eat a peanut and jelly sandwich
I went a few years thinking I was allergic to peanuts. Not anaphylaxis allergic, just digestively. While it was occasionally annoying trying to avoid anything with peanuts, it was tolerable.
At some point I tried them again, in small quantities, without issue. Now it's not an issue, at all. I only wish my lactose intolerance followed the same path.

I don't eat jelly and I don't cut it. I spread the peanut butter on 2 slices of bread and fold both of them in half to stick them together. More peanut butter that way.

As a hungry teenager, I ate triple-decker peanut butter sandwiches. Three slices of bread, two half-inch thick layers of peanut butter. MUCH more peanut butter that way.

Slather butter and peanut butter between 2 slices of bread, hold the jelly. That's how I make a peanut butter, no jelly sandwich.
