Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

Doesn't really count but since she got her start on youtube.

Lindsey Stirling

Science Related
Real Engineering - Engineering topics ranging in variety
SciShow - Misc short subjects with a wide variety of science topics. Very well researched and presented.
Half as Interesting - Very short amusing videos on very obscure historical, geographical, aviation facts
Wendover Productions - The parent channel to Half as Interesting with longer topics
Real Life Lore - Very similar to the other two presenting a short video on some interesting trivia

Space Related
Curious Droid - Short episodes on mainly space related topics. Well presented and researched and always featuring a cool shirt.
Vintage Space - Come for the cute girl, stay for the incredibly researched and passionately presented little known facts about the early days of the space age

Disney
Defunctland - Videos about the history of long gone and (mostly) beloved theme park attractions. Always done in tongue in check style. Makes me feel old because this guy's never ridden any of these rides that I remember.
Bright Sun Films - Films of abandoned rides and other places
Park Ride History - Documenting the changes of different theme park attractions
Expedition Theme Park - More theme park attractions but this channel does a good job of finding the more obscure theme parks around the world.
Martins Vids Dot Net - This channel looks like a throwback to the early days of video editing but his vids are the most complete available. No commentary just a very long video combining all the footage he can obtain on an extinct attraction.
Yesterworld Entertainment - More extinct theme park rides.
Theme Park History

Misc
Gaming Historian
- This guy is amazing. His research and writing are incredible and easily puts TV shows to shame.
Pitch Meetings - Super Easy Barely an Inconvenience. A must see parody of a pitch meeting for various movies
Toy Galaxy - 80's toys. 'nough said

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

For anyone that likes Disney Parks, extinct rides, exploration videos, etc. You've got to check out this video. Back in the 80's & 90's, two friends would sneak around the inside of EPCOT's Horizons ride with a video camera. The footage they got is crazy.

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

Thanks for the tips everyone, I cut cable a few months ago and have watched pretty much every video on every channel I subscribe to at this point, not that I had a huge list as I didn't watch much youtube when I had mindless cable to flip thru.

Most Previously echoed:

Movies/Video Games:
Cinemassacre
RedLetterMedia
MetalJesusRocks

Makeup
Safiye Nygaard (Started watching with my daughter but she is generally entertaining to watch and does a lot of non-makeup videos)

Weird Stuff
Dr. Sandra Lee

Tech
Techmoan
TWiT

Food
Steve1989MREInfo

Celeb Fluff
Team Coco
The Tonight Show

And soon to be many of your suggestions!

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

Robert Meyer Burnett recently launched his own YouTube channel and has been cranking out content on an almost daily basis.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4Y...wT9wnunmz3dWAw

I like his stuff. He's a Hollywood film editor and has produced the DVD/BD extras for Lord of the Rings, Superman Returns and all the Star Trek The Next Generation BDs. He's a really smart guy and offers some good insight. His nightly chats usually have a theme. I believe he used to be a regular on Collider.

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

I recently discovered this Channel "Technology Connections"

And i love how in depth and properly written his segments are. They are as good and many times better than documentaries produced by the big companies

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy0...wFoYcxCe0xjN6Q

His 4-part Laserdisc History segment covered everything you ever wanted to know about Laserdiscs. After watching it I think I'm good. I don't need to own their machines or look for their media. I know everything I needed to know about them

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

I've started watching a lot of Davidsbeenhere

https://www.youtube.com/user/Davidsbeenhere

Great channel if you like travel content. The guy who runs it is named David Hoffman from Miami and he produces some really high quality travel shows and all in 4K. He's done shows in Japan, India, Thailand and his current series is in China.

He has about 377,000 subscribers. Nowhere near the popularity of another travel vlogger Mark Wiens, who has 4.5M. But his content is really good. I recommend checking out his channel.

I just got into this channel recently after you mentioned it in Alan's Apartment of Amazing Atrocities thread, and have watched a bunch of the videos. I see you posted it in this thread earlier than that. Anyway, they're fantastic.

I discovered a channel recently that’s devoted to mainly Star Trek videos which I like quite a bit. The channel name is Triangulum Audio Studios, which is a bit of a mouthful, but as a Trek fan I enjoy it.

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

Is anyone here familiar with a YouTuber named Andy Signore? I read he's the creator of Honest Trailers and Screen Junkies.

Apparently he's making the rounds on YouTube and posted a video retort to the people who accused him of rape and sexual misconduct, which led to his firing. I watched his video and he admitted that he was a pig and cheated on his wife, but never did anything that he was accused of.

Re: Favorite YouTube Vloggers/Channels?

I used to watch Stuckmann, but these days the guy grates on me. He is so vanilla in his taste and opinions, and he may say he started this for fun and it wasnt about the money... But these days it's all about the money. Plus his skits have always been terrible. Seeing him crying due to Redlettermedia using him as a foil for one of their jokes only underlined to me that the guy is a loser. Those guys are never serious and love to rip the vanilla money grabbers. Get over it Stuckmann.

I only subscribe to like two channels and they are RedLetterMedia who I consider some of the best movie reviewers on any medium. Hilarious and knowledgeable to boot. The other is FanBoyFlicks who does a funny job of reviewing terrible movies.

I started watching Steph Tayler Live. She's a gorgeous travel vlogger based in Washington state.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbG...D25dUsbTh8TKiA

I like her stuff and she seems really down to earth. She's been to Asia, Hawai'i and various other places. Her channel is very small at only 15K subscribers, but it's growing.

I check the Dave Ramsey channel just about daily. I love to watch his call ins. It makes me feel so much better about my own finances when somebody calls in saying they have two hundred grand in student loans and ninety grand in credit card debt.

I wish there were more calls like this. It seems like most of the ones I hear are from people making six figures on a single income who can't figure out why they're broke, or those same six figure families talking about how they sacrificed so so much, and now they can do the 'debt free' shout. I hardly listen to his show because it makes me feel even worse about my finances. lol

One of my favorite YouTube channels is Steve1989MREInfo. This dude gets military rations from all over the world, unpacks and meticulously describes its components, then he cooks them and eats them. It's wildly fascinating and soothing, and I wish I had as much passion for anything as this guy does for MREs. And it's not just modern day rations; he gets stuff from all throughout history. His WW2 era MREs are my favorite. Even if this sounds completely uninteresting, I'd recommend anyone check it out.

I just started watching Cubbyemu. He's a young doctor who describes interesting medical cases from the literature.
