Bridezilla story cant believe its not the onion.

Saw this elsewhere and it completely blew my mind that this was not from an onion style publication. I completely do not understand what the hell she was thinking. Then she has an epic meltdown when people didn't want to give her $1500 each on top of what I assume is the cost of going to the destination wedding is just mind boggling. The groom truly dodged a bullet but its a shame they have a kid together. I dont understand why she didnt cancel much sooner to avoid the shit fit...

https://www.wtnh.com/news/unusual-st...end/1406691630

A woman blames her friends and family for the cancelation of her dream wedding -- and her social media tirade is going viral.

The Canadian bride, named Susan, wanted to spend $60,000 on her dream destination wedding, and she wanted her guests to foot the bill.

“Our dream wedding amounts to 60K – all included with flights to Aruba. All we asked was for a little help from our friends and family to make it happen,” Susan wrote in a Facebook post. “We'd sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500. We talked to a few people who even promised us more to make our dream come true.”

She said her maid of honor pledged $5,000, and her ex-fiancé’s family pledged another $3,000.

The bride made it perfectly clear to everyone that if they didn’t contribute, they weren’t invited. Only eight people replied and included the check.

“Desperately, we resent our invites and asked people to donate what they could. I mean seriously people, what is $1,000? What is $1500? Clearly, not a lot,” she continued. “We also set up a go fund me. That only got us $250. At this point we were exhausted, tired.”

Her fiancé suggested getting married in Las Vegas to save money. The suggestion was not well-received.

“I laughed in his face, but he was dead serious. He wanted those cheap, raggedy, filthy, w*** like Vegas weddings. I mean WHAT the f***?? Was he out of his mind?” she said. “Am I some Hooch piece of f***ing trash, a hooker? Am I supposed to like the idea of getting married in the heart of shady gamblers, alcoholics, and the get rich fast fallacy? Suddenly, my body began to shake as I entered a panic attack.”

When she called her maid of honor for support, she was advised to stick to a budget. She didn’t like that answer.

“I just wanted to be a Kardashian for a day and then live my life like normal. I called her a filthy f***ing poor excuse of a friend, and hung up,” said Susan.

The couple later broke up over the ordeal.

A woman claiming to be Susan’s cousin posted screenshots of the 17 paragraph tirade to Reddit.

'We all think she's saying that to be dramatic. I also have a feeling she may have been drinking while writing this status, it's especially vulgar and incredibly embarrassing. It was only up for maybe 15 minutes before she took it down,' the cousin wrote.

Most definitely. Getting stuck with that would be a nightmare.

I saw that going around on FB.

I can not bring myself to believe it's true. Nobody could possibly be that idiotic and self-centered, could they?

Re: Bridezilla story cant believe its not the onion.

My ex-wife wanted a big shindig when we got married. Her old man made pretty good money and gave it to her.
We had a large wedding party and I had to convince four friends and my two brothers to pony up and rent tuxes. They didn't have any more money than I did, which was practically none.
They went ahead and did it, but all of them made the cost of tux rental their wedding present.
I didn't give a shit. I was into the chick, not the whole big wedding scene.

I’m not sure about this. The people on Reddit would have found a name and picture by now. If it’s true it’s one more nail in the coffin of humanity.

All I can say about this is that I feel sorry for women who think of their wedding day as the one bright point in their life.

I dunno... I know quite a few women who come off this entitled. Even the "Kardashian for a day" line.

I mean, there's spoiled and entitled, and then there's this. Like it totally reads like a manufactured onion story. From the growing up on the farm together to the becoming financially responsible to the consulting a local psychic who told them to spend 60 grand when they only had 15 grand saved up, to the "if you don't pay you're not invited to my exclusive wedding" to the outrage when 8 people replied because how dare people not want to pay "only" 1500 bucks to come to my exclusive wedding, to everyone trying to bring her back to reality and her cussing them out and then posting it on facebook because "we're all involved." Then she's not going to refund the money but is somehow going to go on a 2 month vacation.

Re: Bridezilla story cant believe its not the onion.

As someone who DID get married in Vegas, fuck that bitch!

We also put $15,000 down on a new house soon after we were married and are now living in a fairly nice place thanks to not going overboard on one day neither myself or my wife would likely remember beyond the stress and nerves that come with weddings.

It's like Al Bundy, whose life's high point was winning a high school football game.

Those brides are 22 years old, and life is all downhill from there.

Re: Bridezilla story cant believe its not the onion.

I try to not go to weddings where the bride and groom are under 27 years old. I have to REALLY know the couple. If I don't, I don't plan on attending and send a nice gift in lieu of my absence.

I hope I'm not the only one with my fingers crossed hoping she disappears in the Amazon jungle somewhere, eaten by tarantulas.
