Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

Iím looking for comfortable, foam fitting cushioned slippers to wear whenever I am not lying on bed and wherever...

I keep buying these Walmart slipons for like $10 and they feel they are worth $10. The cushion decushions after a week and the soul just plain falls apart in tiny pieces. They are just junk, but easy to get and cheap.

I did get these Brookstone slippers that were great. Only lasted 6 months or even less and like $40 a pop I think. But not convenient or as cheap as I would like.

Just looking for a nice cushioned, wear around the house, comfortable slip-on slipper that I can get on Amazon. That isnít too expensive and actually lasts awhile...

Thanks in advance.

I've had very good luck with Clarks Shoes. Very well made. Not cheap though.

I pretty much live in my LLBean wicked good moccasins. They are sooo comfortable. I've had them less than a year, so I can't vouch for how long they last but I prefer them to my Ugg slippers. They were about $60 with a coupon (20 or 25% off).

Re: Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

Those are great suggestions, thanks guys, but really looking for simple slip-on cushioned slippers...

I guess more akin to a cushioned clog slipper...

Get you some Crocs. They last forever if you're just wearing them around the house, and no one will make fun of you since you won't be seen in public wearing them. Just kidding, I wear Crocs all the time. At my age, just don't care what other people think. The lined ones are awesome in the winter.

Another vote for wicked good moccasins. The sole is two layers of the same soft leather as the uppers, so lots of flex. They are durable indoors, but outdoor pavement or wetness chews them up pretty fast. The buffalo costs more but is better than the cow leather. Neither is "cheap."

The Minnetonkas my wife wears are true slip-ons, I don't know why they don't appear to make any for men. Doubt you'd want to wear her fuzzy slippers though...

I just stick with cheap Walmart slip-ons, they last a long time for me.

Stop wearing them outside... I have had a cheap Walmart pair for years. No issues.

That's weird--mine have plastic on the bottom, and I wear them outside (but not when it's wet as there's fur stuff on the sides.

Can't stand slippers. I absolutely hate them.

Walk around the house normally and they'll fly off your feet at any moment, sailing across the room to knock mom's urn off the mantel. Try to slightly and carefully shake them off when getting into bed and it's like they're superglued to your feet.

Worse possible footwear... next to thongs.

Re: Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

Avoid the open-heel ones. And get a pair that fit. They shouldn't fly off so easily.

I go barefoot in my bedroom, so I like to slip on something if I'll be walking on the cold tile. Slippers are comfy and quick to put on.

Maybe I remember name wrong, they have several different models. The ones I like best are the soft soled model in buffalo, whatever name they assign. I don't have my Bean's catalog handy.

Edit: Yeah, name totally wrong, "Men's Bison Double-Sole Slippers, Leather-Lined"

Re: Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

There used to be a good discount store nearby where I would just go in and buy cheap slip-on slippers for $3.99 a pair. They wore out in a few months and I'd go back and buy another pair, more if they had them. Then the store went out of business. The pair I have now I believe I got last year from K-mart and cost a lot more ($16.99?), but they've lasted a lot longer. The inside cushioning is all worn away and I wouldn't put the slippers up to my nose, but the outside is intact, top and bottom. I won't wear them outside the apartment, though. I actually switch to old sneakers when I have to do laundry or take the garbage out.

Re: Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

I used to the have the same problem with my Costco-bought slippers quickly falling apart -- holes in the soles and the cushioning quickly degrading -- they rarely lasted more than a year. A big problem was that they never fit properly, so I was constantly shuffling across the floor, which wore the soles out faster.

I switched to some Vans-style canvas slip on shoes and I'm much happier. They fit better, are more supportive for my feet, way more comfortable and quite durable.

Seriously though, my wife wears Minnetonka slip-ons and loves them. They've lasted her 7 or 8 years, she wears them all the time.

While they're not actually slip-ons in the classic sense, you should be able to just slip your foot in there...
You jest but I have a pair just like the ones in the link (Tigers) and while I do not wear them every single day they are still going strong many, many, many years later.

Re: Slip-on bedroom slippers that last?

For house slippers I wear soccer slides in the warm months and shearling slipper booties in the cold ones.

Both have lasted for years.

I got some Uggs loafers to wear at home a few years ago, and I wear them all year long.
