Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

I remember being kind of disgusted by one guy named TheOverlooked. I thought he got banned, but it looks like he just quit posting here. He wanted to know why nonwhite guys couldn't hookup with white women. Well he did hookup with a few of them than complained about not liking protection. I thought he came off as kind of a predator in his posts.

Are things going to get better for non-White men with White women? [Merged]

If you want to be an attractive guy in the USA, is being White very important?

Damn, I forgot about Delta

Alan's thread may be the best and most meta. A forum about collecting media that came full circle with one thread.

I added the skank thread, but a lot of the photochops are gone. I'm kinda bummed.

That one was fantastic, and has kind of transcended beyond that thread alone.

My DVDT Epitaph (or Epiphet) should recognize that I selected the audio clip that gave Daddy Cool his name.

It's included. Sadly about 90% of the Photochops are gone, so I think it would be a tough win if you're looking at it today.

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

A lot of you laughed at my manscaping thread, as I questioned society standards about body hair. It was mentioned for thread of the year, but never nominated. Almost three years later, its so much cooler in the summer, and no one ever noticed or cared. I was paranoid about nothing.

I haven't mentioned my singles thread as I'm trying to work through what its turned into. I posted my manscaping thread because some people laughed at it, and it turned out to be no big deal.

The time Moviefan2k4 wanted to be made a moderator so he could clean up Otterville. It's in the Feedback forum somewhere, too busy to look now.

I don't want to veer too far into "talking about banned members" territory, but..
Proposed Forum Rule Changes - this is the thread you're talking about. He didn't outright ask to be a mod... until his first reply.

Of note is that the same person who started that thread - a thread about the language of the forum being too offensive - also created this thread:
Political Correctness: Your Thoughts? (with a poll... Good or Bad) about people being too offended all the time.

I nominate both threads, but that would mean talking about a banned member, which isn't allowed, so we can't nominate the threads.

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

DVDTalk TOAT threads need more Art on Art action.

Also Danol thread needs on the list and probably KVRDave's flash freeze vasectomy.

I missed the Walmart lost and found thread the first time around. I just read the first page and I'm hooked. That's gonna be my entertainment for the evening.

That's the best thread ever. How can you deny it to yourself? Start at the end and work your way back. It's even better than your thread about going to mixers. And it will make you feel SOOOO good about yourself, because it will make your problems seem so tiny in comparison.

As for the other threads listed in the OP, I don't recall most of them. I think the Landlord one is the only one I've read all the way through.

Re: TOAT - Thread of All Time

I've always like this one: https://forum.dvdtalk.com/other-talk...periences.html

Glad to see my landlord thread getting so much love, you wouldn't believe how many times I've wondered how things would be if I'd decided never to post it. And the funny thing is I've had NO run-ins with the landlords since that was posted, aside from one small "inspection" a few years ago where they said it was OK (I had been told of that in advance and did a big clean-up- though many here said they still would've evicted me for it.)
