Should I go to a Singles Mixer?
 

Okay, so I decided to get on this local singles facebook group page here in town, because I saw one of my gym friends knew the guy who runs the group. I've been a part of the group since the beginning of this year, and have been pretty active in the discussions on facebook, its a lot of sarcastic back and forth online chatting. I had one woman reach out through messenger to me asking if I was going to one of the mixers, she said she was asking about me for a friend, than I replied asking if this message was some kind of joke wondering if it was even real. I have had a few of them send friend requests , but I don't let strangers on my facebook page. Well there is another mixer/networking event tomorrow. I have thought about going, I don't know what I would do if any women would want to talk to me, but thought you never know who you might meet in terms of networking and still trying to get back to work. Am I ready to dip my toe into the blue pill world?

I'm not going there thinking about a date, just more for making friends. Or is this a jumping point for starting a dating thread. I'm still unemployed, I have to have the right job that gives me good SMV to get laid.

Pics or it didn’t happen. Good luck with the event...I should look into this type of event. It sounds less stressful than using a site like eharmony or even speed dating. It also sounds like you get an opportunity to speak with a whole bunch of folks who are inclined to connect with you without making it hit on a random woman in a bar/club difficult to get a date with them.

Seriously Bluelite, you seem like a decent enough bloke and no odder/neurotic than some of us goofball DVD Talkers so I give you props for stepping up and realizing this event could be good for you...it takes courage to tell yourself that you will attend the event.

No, She looked like she belonged at a Renaissance Fair, tall, but she had some purple hair, jacked up teeth, heavy, and not attractive at all.
