Too low. Outlets need to be at least 4 inches above a kitchen or bathroom counter (typically installed higher). If that is a floor, they are way too low. Forget the exact height but pretty much the length of a hammer. Since that appears to be an old GFCI outlet, this is probably a countertop in a bathroom or kitchen. I suppose state codes might vary, but the NEC says four inches IIRC.

:looks at nearly every outlet in close-to-90-year-old home, sees that the plate covers nearly touch the floor:

Whoops.

Thanks. I know nothing at all about any of that so I was just wondering. I assume this rule is in case of flooding?

For floors, definitely. Not sure about counters but probably to make them susceptible to splashing and/or also to make sure that there is room to apply a backsplash later. The standard height of a backsplash is 4 inches as I recall. That said, I doubt there is a countertop outlet height code in every state or county and houses built prior to the adoption of a new code are grandfathered in as a rule of thumb.

For floors, you often have a range of acceptable heights (12"-18" or something like that) so the length of a hammer trick is something that electricians often use because they know the length of a typical framing hammer is within the range. Stand the hammer next to the stud and mount the box so that the bottom of the box is even with the top of the hammer.

I can't explain it, but None Pizza Left Beef makes me genuinely laugh out loud every time I see the photo.
As you said, he got exactly what he ordered. I wonder how well he tipped.

In all fairness, without sauce or cheese there is very little to keep the beef from rolling off once the pizza is boxed and handled. They probably did place the beef on the dough evenly before the pizza was baked.
