I don't know what this guy is saying so my apologies but it's the only video I could find.

We went out with a group of 5 families. Some people had two kids, some people had five kids. Everybody ordered all kinds of stuff. The bill came to like $400. One dad paid for it and the rest took a picture of the bill. I did the exact accounting the next day and Venmoed our exact share. Splitting the bill is like the most awkward thing, and giving the waitress 5 credit cards sucks. She doesn’t like that.

^But doesn't that still leave you in the shitty situation where some people are cheap bastards when it comes to tipping? So the guy that paid the whole bill (assuming he tipped well) will end up on the hook for someone that doesn't tip well. That's always my beef about one bill for a group.

With large group the tip is included. That’s the rule for 8+

Okay, then it sounds like a reasonable idea.

Of course it still relies on everyone being honest about what they had, but my friends are honest, so I think it would work out fine.

Venmo is owned by PayPal. Only difference is the social media aspect of Venmo.

And venmo doesn't seem to take a percentage of the transaction like paypal can.

So exactly. What's the point of using venmo? I don't want other people knowing who I paid what to.

paypal only takes a percentage if you use a credit card.

Re: XLIII Random Pic Thread, The Knights Who Say "Ni!" edition.

There is, it runs like a Facebook post. So those oh-so-fun kids can write stuff like "prostitute services" when Venmo-ing money to their friends when they pay them back for a slice of pizza. Social media appeals to a lot of the young ones.

^Obligatory. You beat me to it. But for extra effect it should read "knoif".
