Hi

Recently found the site while Googling various things. Sniffed around a bit and decided to sign up. (I'm not a big joiner, typically.)
I didn't see the obligatory 'introductions' thread, though admittedly I'm not the most tech/internet savvy person.

Seems like a good vibe here, really digging some of the threads; thanks for having me & cheers -

You might want to stay away from - Religion, Politics and World Events for a little while.

I just posted in a drumpf-related thread, whooops!

Also, hello DaveyJoe. I tried inserting a gif showing a bear waving from behind a fence, but I got a message saying that I wasn't allowed to insert images. (shrug)

I think that's to discourage spammers who might sign up and immediately post links/images. It'll go away after you're active here for a little while.

Re: Hi

Hi!

I'm curious as heck ... how did you find us? We don't get many new people around here lately (lately, like, since 2007). We're mostly a bunch of movie fans that stuck around after the DVD apocalypse. And Internet Brands keeps us up and running as part of a tax writeoff (charitable donation to socially-deficient 30-something men).

A few new people are on here over the past couple weeks. Some of them only post in the Religion and Politics forum, which is suspect.

Someone mentioned we might be getting AICN converts after Harry was accused of grinding his rolls against female interns.

Nonetheless...

Hey, are you the Adam Tyner that is associated with Masters of the Universe fandom, by any chance?

Did someone mention something about "grinding (sweaty, boil-covered, orange) rolls against female interns" ? C'mon now, I've had ENOUGH drumpf talk for one day, dammit!

Regarding how I found the site, well, I was literally just messing around on Google. Being a 70s kid, I still find infinite amusement simply 'surfing' around at random, believe it or not.

Exactly! The ongoing existence of this forum is suspect.

Glad to see the sudden rush of new members. I guess people are afraid they may not get in after the Book Talk members get their wall built. Or they are afraid they will have to get out now that Android Dreamers are being targeted by the head Oompa-Loompa. Maybe it is the impending ban on auto-correct technology that will let your mobile device type must faster than any human needs to. Whatever it is ...

... come on in. Take your shoes off, fire up you sense of humor and humility, pour a cold one, and join the ranks of The Otters.

Cool, man! Small world, heh. I'll show our toys (I bailed on the 'Classics' line ages ago, but wifey still enjoys her obsession) once I'm able to!

Thanks for the kind welcome. Once I'm out of the shower, the Cocktail/Smoking hour will commence ~

Hm. I assumed Mrs Danger is just Nick Danger in drag. Like, with some lipstick, pour some Chardonnay, and log in as "Mrs Danger".

Cool, a fellow toy collector. (although I don't collect MOTU, rather more 70's era stuff).

70s era = Finest era. As soon as I'm able to, I'll show shots of my 'creepy spare room/large closet of mystery and power' -- Shogun Warriors! Godzilla! Mego love! & more!

Related note: I'm not 100% sure, but I'm reasonably confident that my awesome wife got me not ONE but THREE boxed Mattel Thingmaker sets along with a heap of original molds! So excited!!
(Not a random gift, my birthday is coming soon.)

I always liked that song...

And, for the record, I don't drink. So, no Chardonnay. No lipstick either, ew.

Is your avatar the Hulk spreading his buttocks? (My eyesight isn't the best.)

Speaking of, how do I get an avatar? Tried clicking 'CP user' and a bunch of other stuff, yet - ?
