Before we even got part the turnstiles we witnessed a guy going full on violent with all those around him because his tickets were not working and he had to be pulled aside to work with Guest Services (which was unacceptable because it meant probably being 30 minutes late in getting in line). The rest of the process went OK, but only because they had Cast Members and cameras about every 20 feet to make sure assholes didn't try to trample people and cut in front of others. We had made it off the ride by 8:10 and left that area behind. We have read experiences form others that ran into people that had to be escorted away by multiple security agents because they were like that guy at the turnstile. At at that point the wait time was already well over 2 hours.

It was no different a couple years back in DCA for opening of Radiator Springs Racers. Sadly there are some real assholes that buy tickets to Disney Parks and feel they are different than everybody else that also purchased a ticket. But Disney usually handles it well, and very few (if any guests) and harmed.
We rope dropped it (no extra magic hours that morning). They actually opened Animal Kingdom at 8:45 since there was a good crowd, but they held everyone up at the bridge who was going to Flights of Passage. It all ended up going very smoothly. My wife and I didn't wait more than 10 minutes before we got on. A bunch of us decided to ride it again just before the park closed. Got on line at about 8:50, and didn't get on till about 10:00. Was well worth it for another ride and the watching the guy and his family I mentioned above get booted from the fast pass line. You really see the best and worst of humanity at Disney.

Had a similar problem a few years back at Legoland in California. Giant groups of Mexican tourists just pushed thru the lines to the front, staff did nothing about it. I spoke up and got swore at but nothing physical. I wrote a letter to Legoland about the experience and how it ruined my son's birthday. They wrote back promising us free VIP tickets and a gift for my son but nothing ever came. Never going back to that hellhole.

How many saloon parking lot brawls have you been in?

Also, when was the last time someone called a bar a saloon? 1890?

Re: Family Attacked by Mob of Teens at Six Flags

This is my local Six Flags and the crowd there is definitely more sketchy than crowds at other similar parks. It's significantly more menacing than Six Flags New England or Six Flags Great Adventure (which I recently went to) and nothing like Disney.

Also, with the recent dramatic lowering of the season pass costs (you can get them for ~$60 these days), there are tons of teens roaming around in large groups. When it was kind of expensive to get in, you'd see a lot more families.

Too many to count, but always left on my feet. Of course, that includes the times when legs were a'churnin' to the beat of bongos drums Hanna-Barbera style.

Feets, don't fail me now.

Aside from Dodge & Tombstone, some places still have saloons. The most notorious local one is called The Hog Wild Saloon. When I was growing up, the most violent place was called The Sugar Shack.

My dad & his generation called them "beer gardens."
