I cannot help but feel somewhat sorry for Chipotle. Norovirus exposure clusters from specific restaurants or caterers are not uncommon and norovirus is the #1 food-born illness there is. In most cases, the outbreak is the result of an employee, not a supply chain problem. Even the most employee-friendly sick leave policy on earth cannot keep sick employees from coming to work sometimes.

So this story is being carried nationally not because it is a national story on its merits, but because its Chipotle. Chipotle has 2250 locations and they have closed one due to a problem that is (unfortunately) not uncommon and AP, CNBC, etc. run with it on their national feeds? Must be a slow news day.

Honey is probably the product most frequently mistaken as vegan-friendly. There is a common misconception that honey bees make their honey especially for us, but this couldn’t be much further from the truth.

Honey is made by bees for bees, and their health is sacrificed when it is harvested by humans. Importantly, harvesting honey does not correlate with The Vegan Society's definition of veganism, which seeks to exclude not just cruelty, but exploitation.

Better not tell my daughter, she's vegan and she already has a limited menu.

Re: Things that should NOT happen.

That's actually a point of contention among the vegans. And being vegans, the arguments are vicious.

A local radio host got in trouble for calling the black mayor a monkey. The mayor got involved in a fast ferry boondoggle that wasted millions. In context, he spoke of them monkeying around with this when they didn't know what they were doing, then went on to call him one of the monkeys. He was suspended but eventually let back on the air

Only if they can explain why they have such a severely limited vocabulary. There are other words available to call someone.

Sorry Chelsea but you still got man legs and a man body with little man boobs. No problem with you transitioning I just think you don't look good enough to be flaunting it in a magazine.
