My kitties Greg and Marcia:

I finally did it! I rescued a new puppy yesterday! He's about six months old, and although I wasn't really looking for a dog that young, he was too adorable to pass up.

This is Titus, my new buddy!

Thanks! I've had him 24 hours now and it's been quite a 24 hours! I had the house basically dog-proofed, but nowhere near ready for a puppy. Who knew he'd want to pull toilet paper off the roll and chew it up?

Gorgeous dog Bronkster - congrats on your adoption!

We added another beagle mix back at the end of June. Her name is Birdy and she needs to learn how to consistently go to the bathroom outside. But she’s beyond sweet. Her “big brother” Mickey is pretty tolerant too.

Re: Pics of your pets thread - Pt2

This evening I went to the vet with my sister and brother-in-law to euthanize one of their cats. We don't know exactly what he had, but he had been going downhill for a couple of years. He and his brother (also pictured) are rescue cats and at least 15 years old by now, though this photo is from a few years ago.
The one in question is on the left. I've known a number of cats over the years, but this guy was the gentlest and most imperturbable cat I have seen. He wasn't bothered by anything.

Trevor, are you Ed Bassmaster?

Re: Pics of your pets thread - Pt2

My little girl from post 47 just turned 6 months at the beginning of the month and got really big - slender.

She went from weighing 6lbs to about 22-25lbs now and she's still technically a puppy:

This is Sunstra. She's about 10 years old. Before my mom died of cancer a few years ago, she asked me if I would take care of her cat after she passed. I let my dad hold on to her but he recently got to the point where he can no longer care for her. So over the summer, I went down to Florida and bought her back with me.

I sadly announce the passing of our little dangerfloof, Cici "The Wee Beastie".

Went in for dental surgery (pain was making her not eat), didn't wake up.

As I told my wife today, "She was a tough little gal with the personality of a giant."

We and the other critters will miss her.

This is our dog, Gary. He's a 3 year old Australian Shepherd... smart as a whip and has way too much energy, but a great dog!
