My cat passed away about a year ago, but she used to cross her legs like that sometimes. Always made me laugh.

River is 7 and Zoey is about 10. They are both non-stop energetic all day. They used to run around and get into things all night also but we learned if we crate them at night - they actually like that. They seem "off duty" during that time and they actually relax enough to sleep.

There's basically 2 types of these dogs.. stealthy and strategic or loud and forceful. We have one of each. Yeah handful is a good word. We wanted a more energetic dog than the Cocker Spaniels we had before and we certainly swung the needle way too far in the other direction.

Re: Pics of your pets thread - Pt2

Not my dog, but she belongs to my folks. I'm her bitch. She will bark at me before I enter the front door. She will scold me for as long as it takes for me to sit on the floor. Once I sit down, she will bring her toy for me to throw and play fetch until she is tired. She does not do this to anyone else.

Re: Pics of your pets thread - Pt2

After going all my life without ever having a dog - I adopted a puppy girl a couple of weeks ago. There was a Los Angeles County shelter fair - it was this 4-day event and there was a ton of little friends waiting for new homes.

I coud not resist this one and brought her home. I think she's 10 weeks old now since she was only 8 weeks when she was adopted.

I believe she's a Shepherd mix of some kind. Either a beagle or chihuahua.

Yes, raising a puppy is hard fucking work, but I am definitely getting used to waking up at dawn for her potty release. She needs one more set of shots before she's fully able to go out for walks.

D'awww!! She's adorable! I plan on getting a dog at some point, but doubt I could deal with a puppy while I'm still working. Just can't see leaving a puppy alone for nine hours a day. When I retire, I'll consider a puppy. Damn, they're so cute though!!

E.Unit - Moose is lookin' good there too!

Re: Pics of your pets thread - Pt2

We have 3 cats, 3 ferrets, and 10 snakes, all rescue/shelter animals.

Clockwise from top: Shadow-age 15, Bug-age 5, Rosie-age maybe 4 (our newest, rescued from a 60-cat hoarding situation)

In the pile are Cici (the pillow underneath), Annie, and Mimi (the affectionate sable).

No pix of the snakes because who wants to look at pictures of a roomful of enclosures?
