Thanks for the background info! That is funny and interesting. I do agree with Max, though, that you'd probably pick it up if you saw it on VCD at a yard sale.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

No limit, but it depends on content. Lately I've been watching hour-long history documentaries that were originally broadcast on BBC. I'm not going to spend that much time watching Koreans trying American Snack Foods.

No limit. Paramount has a channel that shows movies from their vaults. Plus there will be some interesting indie films to check out.

Fascinating. Had no idea there's still that much interest in pinball.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

The only lengthy videos I'll watch are the "late night talk show" segments.

For example, Conan's Lyft segment or a bit from Kimmel.

Same here. If it's not one of those things, my viewing is typically limited to 5 min vids.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

No max, since the content on YouTube can vary so much. No point in setting artificial limits.

What i'll avoid is specific content that's posted, so things like Honest Trailers, How it Should Have Ended, or whatever movie review video i'll basically never watch.

I will watch some long videos but skip parts. I will watch some short videos over and over. I refuse to watch vertical videos.

I typically use it for songs or short clips in the 5-10 min range (DIY videos, etc.). Not really a platform I have a use to watch for extended periods of time.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

My maximum youtube video limit is zero minutes. Can't stand them.

Give me some wonderful '40s to '70s Blu-ray movies instead. My time is better spent watching those last, great bastions of QUALITY in the film world! Not the typical soundbites / hyperactive youtube "productions." that everybody and his dog uploads these days... Garbage, rubbish, and 99.9% self-serving junk.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

I will watch YouTube regardless of length (I can take alot of punishment - I am a conservative and I read and occasionally post in political theads at DVD Talk)
Most of the time I just send videos to my TiVo and watch them there with a remote.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

On the website I work for, the average video viewer sticks around for 45-60 seconds. Any videos longer than 2 minutes see a huge drop in viewership.

Re: YouTube videos -- What is the maximum length you will watch?

Most of the "everyday stuff" I watch at on YouTube are short science, computing, technology and\or food pieces. Things like Tom Scott, SciShow, Draw Curiosity, TechMoan, The 8-Bit Guy, James Townsend & Son, Food Wishes, etc. These tend to max out at around 20 minutes, but are commonly 5-8 minutes.

I've watched plenty of full-length movies and documentaries, especially about astronomy or history. I've watched several college football, college basketball and hockey games, too.
