Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

I've been Living Dead on virtually every forum I've ever signed up for as long as I can remember. I have the benefit of choosing that name before the whole "zombie craze" thing. If I try to sign up on forums nowadays, it's always taken.

Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

I was using my 1st initial and real last name (+5) at a lot of places I signed up at many years ago, decided I didn't like seeing my real last name up there any more and shortened it to kd5 (nice & simple). I've tried to use it wherever I go online but sometimes it's already taken (?), or the site requires a minimum # of characters exceeding my 3.

Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

I used the same username from another site that required your first and last name when registering. I had no reason to change it. Also I had the same avatar since (mostly) the beginning.

Well, I e-mailed an admin last night about changing my name, let's see what happens. So far, nothing.

Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

My username is just my name and birth year. Not original at all but it works. I tend to use the same on most forums (a couple the m is lowercase).

I was 12thmonkey but changed it awhile back to pointyskull to match what I use elsewhere. Like it matters.

I actually find it admirable that you had that name pre-2005 reboot.

I've always had this name, which I got from a Grateful Dead song. I rarely even listen to the Dead these days, but have no idea what I'd switch it to if given the chance.

Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

Same name on every board I go to but one.

Has always been the same here.

Also are some of you counting changing capitalizing as a name change?
Kinda isn't.

Re: Have you ever changed your user name?

Mine has been the same since I joined - I've explained what my username means once or twice before so why not do it again: Rival is a pearl jam song off of their Binaural album - the 11 is because "1" was taken.

Not the biggest fan of the song itself - just thought Rival was a cool word to use.

I considered doing that but figured I'd just stick with what I had here.

Lots of new members that seem like old members.

I have an old unused member. Not sure that is relevant.

very confusing to this old member.

Not really relevant, but that's OK. Have you seen a urologist about it?

Yup, didn't stop the mocking. If anything, it increased it.
