Show me your lunch box!

So I started bringing my food to work. The lunch box I have is nowhere near enough and I end up sticking stuff in a bag and in my purse. Anyone have nice big lunch boxes? I'd love to be able to fit:

- 3 bottles of water (16.9 oz)
- 2 medium-sized Tupperware containers
- 2 yogurts
- 2 fruit
- fork and spoon
- box of flavored drink packets
- 2 K-cups
- coffee mug.

The one I have now busts at the seam with just the containers and the water.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Although hopefully I'll also get some real ones here and there that do help me with my quandary

This is the one I want and I'm strongly considering dropping the money because I'd use five days a week, but man it is expensive!

Re: Show me your lunch box!

I put all my food into a plastic grocery bag and toss it in the refrigerator at work.
I guess I'm cheap and lazy, but it fits everything.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Yeah that's what I've done so far but after using a little lunch bag I'm really liking it And you don't want to open the refrigerators at work.

So far this one is winning, $35 shipped.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

That seems like a lot of food and drinks for one shift at work.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Not really. Two meals of chicken/veggies, a yogurt, and a fruit, two waters, the coffee mug, and the K-Cups. I work graveyard so I'll bring dinner for one day and breakfast the next.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

My lunch box was swag given to me by my employer, so it has the company logo on it. It holds a sandwich, two apples, and a cup of yogurt. That's enough to keep me going through a 12 hour shift of mostly desk work. Luckily, there's tap water in the lunch room so I drink that.

That looks like the kind of lunchbag a triathlete who always (Always.) wears a Bluetooth headpiece would use.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

You can't leave your coffee mug at work? And get a reusable water bottle, 3 bottles a day in the landfill sucks.

And if you work graveyard, shouldn't you have had dinner by that point?

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Do you have a desk or any storage space at work? You can bring a bunch of K-Cups and drink packets and leave it at work so you don't have to keep bringing it everyday.

You absolutely should get a refillable water bottle, using multiple bottles a day is a total waste.

You should also leave your mug at work.

If you do all that then a small lunch bag would suffice.

I haven't found a BT piece I liked but I AM a triathlete

I DO have refillable bottles but I also need 2 a day for my flavor packets (I use Snapple Iced Tea) because they junk up the refillables. I guess I could keep Kcups at work instead of home and just take a bunch at once and take 10 water bottles at a time once a week.

My current lunch box only first the two tupperware containers though, still need something bigger for fruit and yogurt.

I take the mug home because I'm usually still drinking the last remaining coffee on the drive home from work.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Oh and sometimes we do stuff in the afternoon and I run out of time to eat, so I'll just dinner at work and then another meal a few hours later after I get in (I'll have that first one when I first get in). I prefer smaller meals more often than larger meals less often.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

The infrequent times I bother to bring lunch I use one of the many cheap reusable shopping gimme bags we keep on a giant carabiner by the door.

I don't trust people who bring their lunch to work in plastic grocery store bags.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

I have two reusables. One for plain water, and another I "junk" up with Mio's or packets of flavor.

Ditch the disposables.

I use one of those $.99 cent Family Video bags. Just the right size and the right price. Current one has the House Targaryen Sigil

Re: Show me your lunch box!

I alternate between something similar to these 2, depending on what I take. Sometimes I buy. My coffee travel mug is in my hand since I drink one on the way in. I also carry a bookbag for my computer, so I put my dry stuff in there. On Mondays, I usually bring a week's worth of k-cups, granola bars in a rubbermaid container.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

Had this one growing up. In 6th grade the school bully kid decided to kick it and put a big dent in it. I hit him over the head with it and I was winding up for another shot when some teacher grabbed me. Yeah I got in trouble but my dad bought me a new lunch box.

Re: Show me your lunch box!

I brown bag it. Today I had a cornbeef sandwich, a nutter butter snack pack, baby carrots, and a green apple.
