Gmail ads in Promotions section.

ChineseLadyDate and Harry's Razors.

Does this mean that if I date a Chinese lady, I have to shave her?

What do you have?

Re: Gmail ads in Promotions section.

Some of the ads on this site make zero sense....just a cash grab.

Thankfully the only time I have to see them is on my iPad.

Adblock for the win on everything else. I absolutely hate ads...of any kind.

You mean the ads here on dvdtalk? They think I'm rich--it's always to buy into an airplane share for frequent type flying and Crystal Cruises. Admittedly, I am going on a cruise on crystal next year, but I can't see ever flying outside regular commercial flights.

Just turned off ad blocker to see what it is now: Springhill Suites in Coeur d'Alene. I was looking for hotels there last night.

The yext guide to Google my business.

Is yexting anything like sexting? Besides, I feel objectified when people Google my business. Or my junk.

Re: Gmail ads in Promotions section.

I was referring to the the ads in Gmail itself. Gmail has 3 tabs, Main, Social Networks, Promotions. At the top of the Promotions tab, there's always one or two ads (they are e-mails) with "ad" written next to the title in a yellow box. They seem to change every day and the randomness is often funny. They are certainly not targeted ads/emails. You can't "block" those.

Now I have "Chinese Lady Date" and "Home Depot".

Who the hell actually goes into gmail (or any mail service)? I don't even remember my e-mail passwords anymore. My iPad and phone pull all my messages from too many accounts.

For what it's worth, my DVDTalk banner ad is now letting me know hemophilia didn't stop it.

My latest is Single Moms, and Carpet. They were close since it's more than likely Single Moms carpet I'd be interested in.

Don't know about anyone else, but I like a nice, thick bush on my Chinese women.

That was a joke ... I typically shun most technology and refuse to use social media, etc. That said, laziness and ease of acces have driven me to mobile devices for my e-mail. Agree -- I prefer a laptop for any real work/activity.

In fact, my DVDTalk banner ad just now was for a retirement home. WTF!? I am crotchety and old fashioned plus I'm fighting a hip injury, but seriously ... A nursing home already!?

Re: Gmail ads in Promotions section.

I don't see ads.

Up until last week, I had a different problem. One of my email accounts was getting inundated with spam. I was getting 10-20 emails a day promising women near me who want to f*ck. (The asterisk was in the original.) I suppose that they were from a dishonest spam-sending business which was billing the client for sending a thousand emails to unique addresses but which actually all went to me. What is the world coming to if you can't trust spammers to deal honestly?
