Denmark Travel in 2016

Will be visiting Copenhagen in the fall. Anyone on here been over there? I'm quite excited, because I've never traveled to Europe let alone any of the Scandinavian countries. I'm looking forward to it. I'll be there for about 10 days or so. Looking forward to banging some Danish broads, too.

First stop of the day will most likely be at:

I went in the early 90's specifically to Legoland, so I have little advice for you. Enjoy!

Re: Denmark Travel in 2016

I lived just outside Copenhagen for 6 months when I studied abroad in college. This was many centuries ago, in 1987.

Let's see....Danes prefer English speakers to say CopenHAYgen, not CopenHOGen--I was told the latter sounded too German. Danes did not like Germans when I was there. (In Danish, it's pronounced something like Koebenhown)

The family I stayed with said that Danes generally:

-liked the Norwegians
-hated the Swedes
-thought the Finns were just weird.

Copenhagen is a really quaint, nice city. As I recall, most everyone speaks at least some English, so I don't think you'll have much issue with that in shops and restaurants.

The Stroget is the main walking street--all kinds of nice shops and cafes and snack places. The royal palace at Amalienborg is pretty cool. If you want to do the touristy thing you can tour either Carlsberg or Tuborg breweries. Nyhavn waterfront is pretty picturesque and cool.

I'm sure things have changed a lot since I was there, but I loved the country and the city, and the people were awesome.

That sounds like a blast.

Watch European Vacation again to make sure you're ready.

That's pretty dope , Ky-Fi.

I should also mention that I will also be in Malmo, Sweden, since it's like a 30-40 minute train ride from Copenhagen to there.

I've heard that something is rotten there, so be on the lookout.

And be careful of Princes, with insane girlfriends, who talk to skulls. Especially if your name is Rosencrantz or Guildenstern.

I was there a few years ago. The people are super nice.

Check out Christiania if it seems like something you'd like to see.

I don't think hippies have ever killed anyone? I went. It was just fine. Just don't take pictures around pusher street. I didn't take any pictures while inside. We had lunch there also.

I was being facetious. My sister went and the cops raided the place.
