Sardines. Who likes 'em?
I've been eating sardines since I was six years old.
I prefer the small brisling sardines over larger varieties.
I usually just eat them with saltine crackers.
My favorite brand is King Oscar.
At $2.67 a tin (Wal-Mart), they're more expensive than some other brands, but they're well worth it.

I haven't eaten them in a long time, but I like the sardines in mustard sauce on top of saltine crackers. They are quite tasty.

Great with butter crackers, like a Ritz or Keebler butter crackers.
But as others have said, I don't eat them that often.

I love anchovies too, I eat them right out of the jar, salty goodness!

The kind I would buy doesn't have the heads or Finns on them so they are ready to eat. They do have the spines which are edible but I always picked them out.

Is there a place where I can try sardines with Finns? I'm not big on cannibalism, but the clean living up there makes me think they would be tender and tasty.

I want to try them. The reason is movie related so I'll share. Go check out the imdb forum page for the The 'Burbs. There's a whole contingency on there that celebrates 'Burbs Day. It's like the second or third Saturday in July (the day the film supposedly takes place). They celebrate by doing all the stuff the characters in the film do, including eating sardines and pretzels like the Klopeck's.
