Re: What is your favorite ethnic cuisines?

Italian and Mexican far and away, then Chinese, Hawaiian, and Japanese.

I eat French, Indian, Greek, and Thai but wouldn't choose them on my own.

Some of the others are indistinct to me. Like I only associate Spanish with paella.

Yeah, I'm there. The spices in Indian food do not agree with me at all.

Re: What is your favorite ethnic cuisines?

Mexican restaurants. None of that crap Tex Mex. I demand my mexican food in an restaurant here in the US of A be prepared by someone w/ questionable residency. It tastes better that way.

You've just described nearly every restaurant, of any cuisine, in this country.

Here in CA, in Mexican restaurants it's Mexicans in front and Salvadorians, Guatemalan's, etc in the kitchen.

This is why I cannot find anyone to go out to Indian lunch with me. My best friend told me about a year ago, that she really didn't like Indian food, and she only went along to be nice (which was my approach to the Twilight movies with her, as well.)

In Alhambra, there's a Yoshinoya with Mexicans in the back. And in west covina, there's a taco spot (boca del rio, i believe), that has koreans.

It's funny, a few weeks ago I mentioned to my fiancee that I notice if it's not a Japanese chef making my sushi. That and mexican food are the two types that I seem to pay attention to though.

Re: What is your favorite ethnic cuisines?

Mexican's up by one over Chinese, but those are the two most popular here.

I enjoy arroz con frijoles, but give me General Tso's any day.
