Things that will become complete obsolete in our lifetimes: Chalkboards

Oops I meant: Things that will become completely obsolete in our lifetimes: Chalkboards

My kids have an easel that has a chalk board on one side and a white board on the other. I stare at this thing and I realize that it is the only chalk board they've ever seen or used. Their pre-schools and elementary schools have white boards. Businesses only use white boards. Electronic touch screens and devices are quickly replacing those. I think we will see the complete disappearance of chalkboards very soon. Does anyone or any industry still use them?

Name some other things that will go obsolete in our lifetime?

My kids have one of those easels too and I don't think they've ever used the chalk board side. Their only experience with chalk is using it to draw on our sidewalk and driveway.

I had to google "tickler files" and it turns out I still use them. Unfortunately our office is not a paperless environment and I need those files to organize time sensitive documents.

Whiteboards will go away also (like you said). At work we are starting to get digital boards. They are basically a touch-screen LCD screen and you draw on it using a virtual pen with your finger. People who are remote see it on their machines as well and you can easily just send the final image to everyone before you erase it so you can recall it back or whatever.

I thought these were already gone, but I was recently in a place that had a ton of them. They're all fakey names now like PalMart, Marlborr, Camal, stuff like that.

Some restaurants and bars use still use them for listing their menus and specials.

I noticed at work the other day that Rolodex (the brand) shifted to making folios, tablet cases, etc. So I guess they're still hanging on. I also saw some candy cigarettes, too, but they weren't made by Rolodex.

How about these?

Back in late November I was buying my Christmas tree at a mom and pop general store type of place and was taken aback when I saw they had those for sale. I didn't even know cap guns were still around. There's hope for this generation yet.

Condoms and cum shots. Because there will soon be an Apocalypse where 99% of population is wipe out. The need to repopulate earth means every ejaculation is precious. They won't waste it on doing cum shots either.

Not to mention the effort it takes to completely fill a shot glass.

For school and work related official things, I suppose, but for simple everyday things no... like scribbling a quick note onto a Post-It will still always be more convenient for me than opening an app and typing or writing onto some screen.

Places like Bass Pro shops and Cabella's still sell them. Saw them at Christmastime.

They don't even teach kids cursive writing in school around here. My kid sees cursive and thinks it is almost another language.
