Anyone have one of those hoverboards?

Which one do you have?

Are they practical for anything other than showing off?

Do they really hover? And what's with all the fires?

What's the difference between a hoverboard and a "mini-Segway"?

Reviews are all over the place for those things. The exact same unit varies in price from $250 all the way up to $1200. Same shit device from China. Don't waste your time.

Do you really think they invented a hoverboard? No, it just a mini-segway. And the cheap ones have cheap batteries that have caught fire.

Re: Anyone have one of those hoverboards?

A guy at work has one and rides it around all over the place, but then again we're a tech company with a big campus so guys have to walk or travel a good distance to get between buildings, so there's bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc all over.

I think they're kind of silly, and calling them hoverboards is certainly stupid. But better then walking some times, I suppose.
