How many hours per week do you work?
Self explanatory. How many hours per week do you all work?
Do you have a set 40 hour work week or does it change weekly? Do you work in a seasonal business where your hours could change depending on how busy it is?
Do you have less free time because of your work schedule?
I'm part-time freelance, so I could work anywhere from 25 hours to 50 hours per week.

40 hrs. I usually work from 6am-3pm with a one hour lunch break. Weekends off and get two weeks paid vacation a year. I'm pretty satisfied with that schedule.

I'm typically in the office between 40-50 hours a week, though right now it's usually closer to 40 than to 50. When new chips come in, that number can go up, but probably not more than 50-55 hours.

I've been working overtime nearly every day for the past twenty months. I'm hoping not to be on the news soon for a shooting spree at work.

40, but the thirty-minute unpaid lunch every day makes eight-hour days feel like nine, spastically when my job sucks my would out through my mouth like a Dementor.

Re: How many hours per week do you work?
When I was hired it was theoretically 40 with some weeks needing much more and an expectation to "balance that out." That could mean nights, weekends, travel, etc. No set schedule. That also means on call hours and a possibility of "drop everything and leave for an extended period of time." This flexibility was an attractive perk to me.
Several months ago one of my counterparts was promoted to be our new supervisor. Now she acts as if she doesn't understand that concept. We're kind at a "don't ask, don't tell" arrangement now.
I still put in well over 40, but I'm getting more selective about the projects I will take on.
(Add in my side hustles and I am easily in the 50-60+ range most weeks.)
This brings up an interesting employment question (which I did ask my new boss): Are you paying me to do a job OR are you buying my time? If it is accomplishment-based, my hours don't really matter. If it is time-based I will go sit at a desk during "business" hours and go home when they are done.

Now (way different job duties) I will work from home if I have an "office" day and get way more done in a few hours than I do in 8+ hours at my office. (I only spend a few days a month in an office -- usually I'm in the field.)

I do technical/medical manual writing mostly from home. It's usually between 40-50 hours per week. My schedule is a bit flexible. There are times I will work on Saturdays and Sundays and then take week days off.
