Re: Should plastic straws be eliminated?

Rainwater samples collected across Colorado and analyzed under a microscope contained a rainbow of plastic fibers, as well as beads and shards
How many hippie bead stores does Colorado have just in Denver.

Just curious.

Whatever it takes, maybe try a boycott.

Money? Environment? Why not both?

many are all about denigrating things that are done in part for the good of the environment if there seems to be a financial motive, something I donít understand.

Re: Should plastic straws be eliminated?

So Chick-fil-a digs sauce packets out of the trash, hoses them off, and puts them back into use?

Um, fucking gross?

If true, it's more sanitary than your typical soda dispenser at a fast food restaurant.

Re: Should plastic straws be eliminated?

I think I may have just discovered a potential design flaw with the Final Straw 2.0. I was putting away the telescoping brush back into the case and this happened :

So it's warranty repair time now. We will see...

Re: Should plastic straws be eliminated?

It's telescoping, so you push it in extended and that ball-end is supposed to catch a cup in the base and collapse into the case like this :

I don't think I pushed it in too hard. You have to use some force to get it to collapse.

So if replaced, is the container and straw at least recyclable?

I don't know. I really only need a new case as the straw is just fine. I just can't carry it around in a broken case.

Re: Should plastic straws be eliminated?

It saved 100 straws from going into the ocean and now it may be trash itself. So did it really save anything?

Pursing your lips causes wrinkles around your mouth as you age. I am surprised by so many ladies that have vanity issues even using straws.

What about duck face? That should be even worse and yet it's still a thing for some reason.

I will likely just get a new case, so same final straw (though can't use this one right now without a working case)
