I judge people on "their" grammar. I'm a bad person?

I can't help it! The whole sales staff received an email from a "manager" at my part time job. Throughout the the email she used "there" instead of "their." It was three times, so it wasn't a mistake. Not my place to correct her, but I sure wanted to do it! I mean someone in their 30's should know the difference!!!! ARRRRGGGGRRRRHHHRHHHRHH!!!

I find it literally ironic that you would do this. Your a real looser if grammar bothers you so much.

Not a bad person, maybe, but definitely pedantic.

I've had this happen with management before. Supposably, it's been going on for years. For all intensive purposes, it's not that big of a deal.

In a conversation (where 'there' vs 'their' vs 'they're' doesn't matter, but other things do), is there ever a way to correct someone's grammar without coming across as rude? I don't think there is...

Kevin James wouldn't have cared about things as petty as this.

I'm not perfect when it comes to spelling and grammar. But I admit, those types of mistakes do tend annoy me. But when that happens, I just take a deep breath, sit back in my penis chair and tell myself that it's there problem.

Personally, I'm having some real "issues" with the OP's rather generous use of "punctuation."

And to be clear, I judge each and every one of you, every day. You people have a lot to answer for, that's all I'm sayin'.

What do you mean, "you people"?

With the rise of smartphones and tablets, we communicate via writing/typing more than ever, but our grammar seems to be heading in the opposite direction. I think the texting shorthand has a lot to do with it.

This post is grammatically correct, and therefore inappropriate for this thread. It literally killed me.

My boss substitutes "borrow" for "lend" - as in "I'll borrow that to you." It's a bit of a regional thing around here and it drives me bonkers. The words don't even mean the same thing.

If you have to ask, then it's probably yes.
