UNLOADS Devastating Punch on Female Fan
Arrested on Scene
Cops hauled Afroman off stage, and he knows why -- because he punched a female fan in the face ... instead of getting high -- and the video of the incident is brutal.
The rapper was performing in Biloxi, Mississippi Tuesday night when the woman somehow got on stage and started dancing next to Afroman -- and then suddenly, without warning ... he turned and landed a right-handed haymaker to her face.
He obliterated the woman ... who went down hard -- but Afroman kept on performing. Witnesses say she was bleeding and crying, but somehow she managed to get up on her own.
Cops eventually stopped the show, escorted him off stage, and arrested him outside the venue. He was booked for assault.
Afroman's rep says the rapper had no idea if the fan was a man or a woman -- he just reacted to someone being on stage. The rep claims there was a lack of security at the venue to keep fans off the stage.
The rep added this is totally out of character for Afroman ... who was released late Tuesday after paying a $330 bond.

That was brutal.

That punch was brutal. If he simply pushed her off stage (even forcefully) I wouldn't be against what he did. Regardless if it was a man or woman, that punch seemed unnecessary.
She shouldn't have been jumping on stage like an idiot and security should have been on top of it.

Having a drunk fan onstage is hardly a new development and surely hammering them with a haymaker isn't an ideal solution.
On the other hand, get off of the goddamned stage lady.

Looks like Afroman hits the buffet harder than he hit that poor girl.

Seems over the top to me, and I'm all for artists defending themselves onstage if they feel threatened. Assuming that girl just wandered up there, she should have known better, but still didn't deserve that one.

Re: Afroman
The only justification I can think of is Dimebag Darrell's murder during a show could put someone on edge about strangers climbing on stage. But that was more than a decade ago, and I've never talked to a musician who seemed especially worried about something similar happening to them.

Re: Afroman
It does seem unnecessarily harsh...however:
1. She invaded his space. That being the Stage and his personal space
2. She made physical contact. Yes, it was just her ass, but he was likely in a "zone" while playing and just reacted to being in inappropriately touched.
3. In this day and age where Dimebag Darrel was killed by a fan onstage...I can totally understand his reaction.
4. Had she been a "he" and the Afro-man "Afro Woman". People would justify the reaction and violence.

But since you threw the Race Card....I can't help but wonder if he was arrested mostly because she was a "helpless" little white girl and he's a big black man....

Re: Afroman
Again, what if he was a woman and she was a man. Would it be ok for man to rub his ass or cock on a woman on stage without her consent? I've seen women physically attack men for less and no one said a thing....
